First off I booked this room for just me and my wife and I must say Im so glad I didnt book anywhere else. it was only for a weekend, checked in Saturday morning and stayed for only 1 night. but Im writing this review now because it really made our weekend. I think to any hotel location is key and this one in particular is smack dab right in the middle of everything, for instance as the forgetful one in my relationship i forgot to pack a few items, (toothbrush, shampoo conditioner ect.) but just a few streets down is a local publix where we picked up everything we needed. and as far as the beach goes its literally just a stones throw distance from the hotel itself. as far as the room goes we actually got the smallest one available and it still didnt dissapoint. it had a cozy little kitchen a full mirror ( wife liked that one) very clean bathroom, nice big screen TV and plenty of space to accommodate for our things. The pool was bigger than expected and a great spot to relax at. They even have Kayaks! with which we spent most of our afternoon in haha. Just being on the water is one thing but having stopped at all the little islands we came across on our little adventure made it that much better. After our little outing we worked up quite the appetite and the staff was more than helpful when we asked for suggestions. we ended up at a place called Nervous Nellies down by the pier for great food drink and live music. Our night was fantastic and for the price we paid I expected so much less. I cant wait to come back!

Room tip: Second floor balcony is good for watching sunrises/sunsets

Stayed here for 5 nights. Our room was small but equipped with what we needed. First thing I noticed was that the electrical cord for the air conditioner ran under the door. This allowed a good sized space under the door which let a few lizards in the room. I don't think this set up is totally up to code! Housekeeping was pretty much non existant. We did get clean towels on the evening of day 4 but had to ask for them.
The worst tho, was when we came back to the room on Saturday night the place was overrun with teenagers partying. Management was nowhere to be seen. The few times I went to the office to inquire about things it was run by a semi-surly teenage girl. Never did I see an actual adult working there except for the cleaning lady.
The internet signal was strong and the pool area was clean. The view of the sunrise on the dock is nice.

I have been coming to this hotel for the last 12 yrs. My boss first brought me here in around 2002. We worked on broadcast towers and stayed here for months through out a few years. then the owners changed hands and then this was a vacation spot now Travis and Jennifer The new owners have always worked on this older hotel upgraded windows Ac units. balconies and added fun things to do while here. we are treated like family. I have stayed in hundreds of places since 1994 and this is the only place I have returned to and felt at home.

Room tip: I have stayed in several I liked hard to pic one 13-B,7,9,10,1,5,

I had read positive reviews for Dolphin Inn before traveling to Ft. Myers Beach with my family and thought we would give this Inn a try. The prices were fair but I had no idea what we were in for during our stay. We reserved 2 nights and looking back now wish we hadn't stayed there at all!! Room number 5 had fleas and ants. The floors and bedspreads were filthy. I don't even know what to say about the condition of the shower. My family wore swim shoes when bathing if that tells you anything. There were never enough towels. We constantly had to ask for towels and the front desk clerk would say "we have some in the wash right now". There was a very strange and strong odor in our room. It smelled like someone was constantly cooking food and it was coming through the vent to our room. My husband and I discussed how we both just felt "dirty" even standing in the room. I don't understand how this Inn had positive reviews listed on Trip Advisor? On a side note, I should have seen the signs (red flags) when I tried on several occasions to call the main office during business hours and had to always leave a message for someone to call me back. Lesson learned and will never stay at this property again. I wanted to report feedback, concerning my family's experience, so no one else will have to go through this during there vacation.

I stayed for two nights in a bay room view with a queen size. The room was small but equipped with everything that you need ( from small fridge to toaster, plates and wine opener) the room was all freshly painted in white and the bed extremely comfortable. The view of the bay was very nice and quiet. Direct access to a gorgeous white sand beach right across the hotel after a very short walk (2minutes). Perfect place if you want to enjoy the beach and cook your own meals.
