This is a fascinating place, we last visited four years ago when the shuttle programme was in full swing, now with the shuttle gone, the center/centre has reinvented itself and is just as interesting.
We reluctantly attended a free 45 minute lecture by a former astronaut, mainly to sit down in superb air conditioning.
It was gripping! He was amazing, in his sixties now and retired, he is one of many astronauts who return to give these talks, it was one of the high points of the trip.
It is well worth a trip and you realise the cost in both money and people's lives to get to space, especially the memorial.
