We arrived around midnight, and I wasn't sure what to expect from Super 8, never having stayed at one before. Late as it was, we had a cordial reception. The parking is mainly way around to the rear, but it's very convenient to the rear door, and the room keycard unlocks the outer door.
The downstairs hall smelled just faintly of cigarette, but our room was upstairs in nonsmoking and the air was fresh up there. The room was very large and clean, and rug, towels and bedding all looked new. The linens on the bed were good, and the bed was comfortable, so we slept well. The wifi worked fine, as did the TV.
I had the window open a little, so I could hear a nearby idling diesel truck engine. I think that some trucks park in the next door unpaved lot. It didn't keep me awake, though.
The breakfast was pretty minimal, but the desk clerk happily refilled the empty milk carafe at my request. The front desk and the breakfast are both in the same room. There were basic cereals, coffee, juice. For the price of the Super 8, I wasn't expecting a big spread for breakfast, and I was glad that they had something. Red Roof Inn charges more and doesn't serve any breakfast.
This is a good and comfortable place for an overnight along the I-70.
