We stayed here for our Anniversary.
We rented a lovely cabin (#3) that was just what we wanted. Private, clean and close to all of the tourist attractions.
Pet friendly (although we left ours at home)
The cabin was clean and very presentable. Extra towels were available cabin as well as an extra blanket. Air conditioner was in full working order.
Bed, king size, was comfortable. On demand hot water in cabin was great.
Old style TV (not flat screen) had plenty of channels for viewing. Internet was not easily accessible from cabin but was from other areas of the grounds.
There was a mini kitchenette that was wonderful. Although we transferred the items that we had brought in our cooler to the frig and some of the things froze due to the refrigerator being on to high of a setting (could of happened at home as well).
Cabin had a nice deck with 2 chairs on it. There was also a charcoal grill available. Each cabin has it's own.

There was a nice clean outdoor pool that had solar heating panels on the pool house roof which were not needed for our July stay. Lots of lounge chairs available with umbrellas. Towels available at pool area as well.

Also on the grounds there is an excellent Brewery! Very pleasant experience dinning. Food was excellent! LOVED the baked haddock. Hubby had the Rueben and said that it were delicious! Fries are out of this world! They are a little spicy but we like spicy stuff. Gotta make you aware though that there are a few hidden charges that the waitress did not let us know about but they were listed on the menu. Dippin sauce for fries is an extra $1 (except ketchup). Also for beer waitress ask if we wanted our selection "creamy" that was an additional $2. Other than that our waitress was great. Hostess, I believe to be owner, was nice as well.
Loved that the brewery was on the grounds so that we were able to walk back to our cabin versus getting a cab!
Our door seating is available at brewery. We dinned in.

We plan on going back to this establishment. Staff was friendly and helpful.
One more note, there is a trolley stops here. I am not sure of the route or cost but we did see it downtown while we were there.

We have lost count of how many times we have stayed at the Boothbay Resort, the latest being in September 2013. As always, our cabin was clean and the grounds were very well maintained. We love coming here with our dog because everyone with pets seems to be very respectful of everyone else. The property is blissfully quiet at most times of the day and night. The beds are comfortable and the space in the cabins is plenty big enough for everyone to stretch out and relax. Having a kitchenette available is a big plus if you want to save money on restaurant food--although I would highly recommend you try lunch or dinner at the tavern during your stay. We had dinner there this trip and thought the food there was great!

We spent one night at the Boothbay Resort because we were traveling with our dog and wanted a pet friendly place to stay. We stayed in Cedars #5 which was small but clean. The owners were ok with us leaving our dog in his crate so we could enjoy the brewery tour and dinner at the tavern. My husband loved the beer and our food was absolutely delicious. You must eat here! We liked that the resort was quiet and peaceful but just a few minutes drive to the harbor. We would definitely stay here again but would probably get a larger cottage for a longer stay. Bring your own toiletries. All that were provided were a couple of small bars of soap.

Just recently spent a night in one of the Balsam cabins here and had a great time. The rooms were more than adequate, very clean with nice comfy beds. They had a nice frig and kitchenette though we didn't actually use it as we couldn't resist the brewery/tavern on site. We did swim in the pool which also was nicely setup with towels and heated. Hard to get out. The owners and staff were exceptionally nice, friendly and anxious to please. We found the rooms a bit high priced at first but considering the pool, brewery, and excellent food and service changed our mind. We will return for sure later this year.

Room tip: All cabins setup nicely

The Boothbay Resort is a great stay on so many levels. We have been bringing our family here every summer for many years and have never been disappointed. We've stayed in most all the cottages; Boxwood, Balsams, and Cedars, none of which you can go wrong with. They are always meticulously cleaned and are very comfortable to stay in. We used to stay in Balsams, which are a bit larger and newer than Cedars, but as the family grew found it more advantageous to rent 2 of the Cedar cabins. This way we can put our 3 children in one while we stay next door just a few feet away. A baby monitor works great for peace of mind, but in reality there is nothing to worry about when it comes to safety in this tucked-away location.

The owners of the resort, Winn and Lori Mitchell, have become personal friends of ours; and have always been the most hospitable and courteous keepers one could ask for. It's been a joy to watch them transform their inn formerly known as the 1828 Vintage House, to what has now become a resort accompanied by a first class brewpub/restaurant known throughout the community as the "Watershed Tavern". If one enjoys craft beer and good food you need to travel no further!

We could go on about all the great benefits of staying here; i.e. pet-friendly, close access to downtown Boothbay Harbor w/out being in the middle of all the traffic, great pool, onsite games and amenities, but I think you get the picture. Do yourself a favor, whether looking for a getaway as a couple or the entire family, take advantage of what Boothbay Resort has to offer!!!
