My family and I came to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday. We had 2 modern lodge rooms in the same building we loved sitting on the balcony but the best part about the rooms were that they were dog friendly....truly dog friendly! We enjoyed the s'mores station with the activities director and both the restaurants. Since we were a group of 6 we did notice a 20% service charge at the 88 restaurant. It was not pointed out so we were glad we realized it. My sister and I went to the spa for a facial and massage and both were great. Don't skip the cookies and coffee in the lobby and try to make time to go into town.

We just visited the Spruce Point Inn Resort for two days. Beautiful views of the water, sunsets every night and top shelf service, make this Inn the perfect couple getaway. We had a very spacious room with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The resort has a pool and a hot tub, along with a game area/arcade for kids. This would be the perfect place to spend a night (although not long enough) or a week. Highly recommend the Spruce Point Inn and are looking forward to returning again next year!

Our stay at the Spruce Point Inn was memorable from the first contact with staff to check out. Our bay view room with comfortable king bed and spotless linens was perfect; roomy, bright and very clean. The bathroom was very large with a generous amount of counter space, a Jacuzzi and separate shower, also very clean. The sliders out to the private balcony provided a delightful, quiet place to enjoy a glass of wine and the amazing bay vista.
We also had a fabulous dinner in the dining room. The service was excellent; professional and friendly but not hovering. The restaurant is beautiful with lots of windows over looking the property, gardens and the ocean. It was a wonderful evening.
The inn also has a delicious breakfast, either from the menu or buffet.
I recommend the Spruce Point inn for its service, exceptional staff, beautiful grounds, delicious food and comfortable rooms. Staying here is pure pleasure.

Room tip: room #3, modern lodge room ocean view king with sofa bed.

My husband and I stayed at the Spruce Point Inn for 6 nights with our 2 children, age 4 and 6 in August. It was my first time in Maine and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The grounds are beautiful and there was so much for the kids to do at the resort. We were disappointed that they would not let our 4-year old participate in the kids camp (the minimum age is 5 but we thought they would be more flexible, especially with an older sibling there), but the hotel did recommend a babysitter and she was great (although pricey). The staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed many of the complimentary activities that the hotel offered, including tennis, soccer games, swimming, evening campfires with smores, fishing, a boat tour, the boat into town, the game room, etc. We stayed in the Oriole cottage which was great for our family since it had a king bedroom, a separate living room with a sofa bed and a tiny twin bedroom. The cottage was a little rundown but it was clean and met our needs. The rest of the resort made up for any disappointment I had about the room. Overall, we had a great week. There is a lot to do around the resort too and we enjoyed the many seafood restaurants in town. We definitely hope to return!

Room tip: If you are looking for a more modern room, go with the modern lodge. The cottages are more rustic.

We stayed at SPI this past week Sept 29-Oct 2 and will definitely return. The hotel itself was beautiful and the grounds were landscaped amazingly. Our room was very comfortable and the staff was outstanding - very friendly and professional-gave great suggestions for dining out in the area. The two restaurants at the inn were wonderful also, great bar and bartenders! Our room overlooked the ocean and the front porch was great for just relaxing, reading or just watching the water. Beautiful sunset also.

Room tip: We stayed in Loon cottage - very lovely and great views of the ocean. Great front porch covered in flowers and two comfy chairs. The bed was great and loved the bathroom - it was huge!
