The room we had was tight as it had two queen beds and there was only a tiny space between the bed and the patio door and the other bed and the wall. So it was cramped for a $200 a night room. A king sized bed would have been much better. But very well maintained and clean.Nice view from the deck. Breakfast was nicely done. It was not elaborate, no hot food. Some of the chains do better these days. (Most do worse). The location was great, parking was convenient, the people very nice. I would stay again but ask for a KS bed, if they have them.

We stayed at the Anchor Inn for one night whilst travelling around Cape Cod and New England.

Having parked in the spacious car park, check-in was friendly and we were given a tour of the common areas and directed to our room which overlooked the harbour. The room was very large, with a wraparound balcony and was very comfortable throughout. The bathroom included a jacuzzi tub and the free wireless internet worked well. Everything was clean and even though a gale was brewing outside we were warm and secure!

Location wise, it would probably take 10 minutes or so to walk to the top of Main Street but be warned that Main Street is very long so dependent on where you were heading it might take longer to reach a particular restaurant. The storm meant that we drove to the Brazilian Grill which was, as it happens, at the far end of Main so probably a bit too far to walk anyway, even if the weather had been better.

Breakfast next morning was of a very good standard, with the kitchen overseen by a very cheerful and helpful lady! Checkout was quick and easy and, as a nice touch, we were given a little bag upon departure with bottles of water and a few sweets for our journey!

In summary, the Anchor In met all of our needs and expectations and should we return in the future - perhaps to catch a ferry to the islands - this would almost certainly be our choice of hotel again.

We stayed here for one night during a quick side-trip to Cape Cod in September. The manager who welcomed us was very friendly and informative about good eating places, sights to see in the area, and hotel amenities. The room was beautiful, just what you would expect at an inn...charming with a great view of the water, and done in the New England style. Room was very spacious, and the breakfast room, closed in porch with sitting area, and lobby were beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. No negatives for this hotel...it was one of our most enjoyable stays on the east coast during a two week trip.

My family of 4 stayed at the Anchor Inn in July. Great location and very nice hotel. What impressed me most was the service and little things they did very well. Great continental breakfast, service, location. This really is how a small independent hotel should be run. A bit expensive but it is the high season on Cape Cod. Highly recommend!

This was our second trip to 'the cod' have spent our first holiday in Plymouth and Boston. My wife and I decided to find somewhere with a good link to Provincetown, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket and the Anchor In couldn't have been more perfect. We were greeted by the reception staff who were very helpful and they advised on local restaurants and sight seeing.
We stayed in 2 different rooms over our holiday as our first choice was not available for the whole time but both rooms were very nice and very clean.
Great views, good hospitality and good breakfast.

Room tip: If you can book one of the larger rooms first floor overlooking the harbour you will not be disappointed.
