I walked into the lobby at the Econo Lodge and the guy standing behind the desk acted as if I was a major inconvenience. He didnt even say hello, he just nodded his head. Right after I asked what the hotel's rate and availibilty was for the evening he took a personal call on his cell phone before answering my question. He finally began speaking and indicated that there were some major problems with the hotel rooms that he has been trying to get fixed for a long time but he would give me a room anyways. He said that I would need to come back in two or three hours as that is how long it would take for the water heater to heat the water in the room as the water heater had been turned off for a long time. It makes you wonder how many people stay at this place. His scary attitude and the fact that he admitted that the hotel had some major problems (he wouldnt get into detail what those problems were, but I bet I would have found out if I would have decided to stay and pay for a room) had me running out the door. Dont waste your time with the Econo Lodge, just drive right past it. The guy behind the desk needs to learn some people skills (he also needs to improve his sloppy appearance) or he is likely to scare other potential customers away as well.
