The glossy Haven Holiday brochure, states The Orchards is "Quintessentially English and deeply rural." We found that statement open for debate. The Orchards is a huge site mainly of static vans, and tourers. There appeared to be a mix of more permanent dwellings along the sea wall. On the plus side the staff were most obliging. On arrival we were greeted very well by pleasant reception staff.. Our caravan was quite a way from the centre complex which is far too small for the size of the site. The indoor swimming pool was reasonably full. It must be very crowded in the summer months. The roads through the Park were supposed to be one-way, but several times we witnessed cars going the wrong way. The caravan was clean and central heating was most welcomed. Instructions for the television, and other electrical things would have been welcome. The Park itself could have been enhanced by more planting. The sea wall walk, which takes you all around the perimeter of the park, was most interesting.
