Stayed here for one night on the bed and breakfast, 3 course dinner, Champange and canapes and mini spa treatment package, which was excellent value for money and highly recommend it. Hotel, restaurant and spa staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful with stunning views. The spa was large with lovely clean facilities. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. My only criticism and I stress only, was the drinks are a bit expensive, the cheapest bottle of wine at £19 a glass of 125ml at £6

We booked this hotel through a special offer for our 5 year wedding anniversary and it didn't disappoint. The setting was beautiful (despite the rain!), the hotel looks very impressive from the outside, the staff on reception were very helpful and we got checked in quickly. We went for a deluxe room which had a name rather than a number, it was beautifully set out with a huge bed, bookcase, sofa and table, there was just so much character and a lovely view over the Surrey countryside. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant at the hotel which included pre-dinner champagne in the library. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway.

I have just returned from nutfield priory and I must say I can not belive the below reviews!

The trip to nutfield was booked as a suprise and I am glad it was because if I had read the bad reviews I would have cancelled.

I thought this hotel was gorgeous and looked like a castle when we arrived we was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who chacked us in and then we was asked if we needed any help with our baggage. Our room was originally on the third floor so we took the lift and with the receptionists intructions we found the room. We was in room 44 which was a loft room with a skylight window over looking redhill what can I say amazing! We called down to reception for an ice bucket (as we took our own champagne which I would strongly recommend as the drink was very expensive) the ice bucket was brought to our room promptly with a birthday card for me (nice touch).

Once we was settled into our room we decided to turn the tv on to listen to the radio whilst enjoying our drink sadly when we turned the tv on it didnt seem to work, so we called down to reception where they sent a gentleman called Gary to our room who was so helpful and tried to fix it for us. After trying to get hold of maintenence and attempting to fix it himself it just wouldnt work so he offered us another room accross the hall it was a lovely room but not as lovely as room 44 which we had checked in to. Gary (hotel staff) advised us to leave it with him and he will continue to get hold of maintence and will let us know how he gets on so we decided to go to the hotel lounge for a drink. After 5 minutes of returning to our room there was a knock on the door it was Gary (hotel staff) advising that he can not fix the tv and that he was very sorry with that he advised that as it was my birthday then he would like to treat us! We couldn't belive it he offered us one of the hotels top suites at no extra charge!! We was blown away the room was called the Shelley suite and it was amazingly huge with impressive view and an enormous bed!

We ate in the hotel both nights we was there as this was part of the deal the restaurant is not like sitting in a corridor it is a long hall and they have laid it out perfectly so every table has a view of the grounds. The staff were so friendly and couldnyt do enough for us offering to take a photo of us. The food was amazing and the compliments of the chef was a really nice extra touch. My husband had booked the hotel on a deal which I would advise he paid £300 for two nights and that included dinner bed and breakfast and aptesisers and champagne! Good deal huh!

The spa wasn't what I expected though and I would say was the only thing that let it down just as it was quite small and a bit shabby.

all in all I would definatly recommend this hotel I am a well travelled individual. Very impressed all round with food staff and hotel well done nutfield and a special mention to Gary who was extra helpful and made our break perfect.

We stayed here for one night. Beautiful hotel with gorgeous character and original features.

Gorgeous views over the surrounding countryside, lovely breakfast, and we enjoyed a lovely dinner in the restaurant which we thought was actually very good value for the style of hotel.

A very nice room with a lovely bed, great shower, etc. Although, on a very minor note, it seemed a bit mean to be charged £2 for a newspaper delivered to our room (which appeared from the way they offered it at check in, to be complimentary), considering we were paying £180 for a simple room without a view...(possibly more expensive as we hadn't booked in advance and got the room on the day of arrival). That's not really a complaint though, as everything else was faultless, and what's another £2... ? more of an observation really, and perhaps something they could reconsider.

Definitely a beautiful location, and a beautiful building, and all the staff we encountered were excellent.

Attended a wedding here and - not impressed!
The wedding was wonderful and I agree the location was great - lovely views on a sunny day.

However Nutfield Priory are not equipped to host decent functions, the staff are reluctant, music was played during the meal via a tape recorder!

The room they use is not great either you could be anywhere so why waste your money

The staff forgot to fill everyones glasses with champage for the Toast !

and even more shockingly £9.75 for a glas of wine !

I would not recommed this hotel to anyone considering it as a wedding venue
