I'm very conflicted about my review for this property. We had some great and not-so-great experiences from our one-night stay on July 5th. First, the staff was super friendly. The breakfast was plentiful and yummy - even though they were very busy that weekend. The pool and gym were refreshing and clean. Our room was spacious, annointed nicely, and quiet, although it was not exactly what we thought we reserved (see below). The biggest con was that BOTH the elevators were out of service. Given that we made this reservation the same day, they should have been aware of this problem and informed us over the phone before we made the reservation. Usually, this would be a minor inconvenience, but we were traveling with 2 small children over the 4th of July weekend and my husband had a hurt leg at the time. So guess who got to cart all the luggage, kids, etc up the 3 flights of stairs? :) I will say, though, that the gentelman at the front desk helped me bring our luggage up the stairs, which he did not have to do and it was much appreciated. He also got me 2 containers of milk for my baby's bottle from the breakfast area when none was available in the store for purchase (after I had walked down the 3 flights of stairs & then back up again, of course). But Again - he went above and beyond what he had to do in order to accomodate us and should be acknowledged. The only other problem we had was that when my husband originally made the reservation he was told it was a "2 King Suite". We inferred this would be 2 King beds. Just a miscommunication, I believe, but it was a shock after walking up 3 flights of stairs with luggage & kids to see one king bed and a twin pull-out couch. I slept on the completely uncomfortable pull-out while one of my kids slept on the floor. Nowhere near the comfort of the king bed in the other room :( I think they meant that it was a 2-ROOM king suite, not 2-king suite. I will say, though, that it was a holiday weekend, we made our reservations last minute, and they were as accomodating as they could be given the limited availability of rooms and elevator problems. They did fix one elevator by morning, but while we were at breakfast someone came in and said they had just got stuck in it for over 20 minutes, and both were shut down again by the time we checked out so we had to haul everything down the stairs again at check-out. So overall our stay was pleasant, but these are definitely some things we wish we had known when booking this hotel.
