We stayed 2 nights on an end unit on first floor of the flagship building. Try to get flagship it puts right in front of beach. There is a drop to he beach so you use stairs to get down to it. Rooms were nice , fair size, basic but clean. Nice small patio on first floor. Kitchen was nice , granite counters, microwave, stove, fridge etc. It had nice cabinets done in a dark cherry stain.
If you like bonfires on the beach, buy or bring your own wood. Bonfire right off your place. There were about 10 going on the weekends each night.
Great location for walking to shops , 1 block to the heart of downtown Cannon beach.
reccomend Bisto for dinner and Lazy Susans Cafe for breakfast. Pig and Pancake was dirty , they need to clean there booths better. The restaurant on main street that looks like a log cabin was awful.Nice inside but fish was so dry and my wifes pasta was like mush, very overcooked.

My husband and I stayed at the flag ship in a second story corner unit and could not have been happier. We were driving from Seattle to San Francisco and this was by far the nicest place we stayed in. Great location, beautiful room with view, super comfy king size bed, fire place and a little kitchenette. The decor was tasteful, the studio clean and what a tranquil spot to watch the sun set. We've been trying to find the equivalent to this hotel everywhere we go. ANd it's proven a tough act to follow.

Our studio in the Flagship building was oceanfront with amazing views. It was spotless and we enjoyed having the kitchenette and having our meals and coffee in. We loved hearing the ocean at night and being able to walk right down to the beach. The tufted puffins were nesting at Haystack Rock which was just a short walk down the beach and a bald eagle was fishing there, too. We looked at other places while we were there and would definitely pick the Waves to stay again. Price and location are unbeatable.

We stayed in the Flagship unit, which is right on the beach, with windows that look both west and north. This is at the north end of town, near the creek, which is a little less crowded than midtown near Haystack Rock. We liked the second floor, because on the ground floor there is foot traffic right outside your window. The room was spacious and very comfortable, with small but very functional kitchenette and everything up to date. We had a problem getting the gas fireplace to light, and the manager came over at 10 pm to get it going - very nice service. We had no problem with Wi-fi.

We took a mid-week break to "The Waves Motel" in Cannon Beach with my sister & her husband on Feb. 16th 2009. The Waves has several different buildings located ethier on the beach or across the street from it. We stayed in the "La Colina" #303. The location, rooms & Winter rates were all great! The one thing that was'nt was their Wi-Fi, the only place inside our room where I could connect my laptop to the Internet was ON the sink in the bathroom (& that signal was not good). Even so, "I'll be back".
