We stayed 3 nights at Keizer Renaissance Inn (Thurs-Sat) in late May. This property could easily earn a "5" with a few small improvements. My biggest complaint/criticism would be for their breakfast (included in room rate). Scrambled eggs are from a box and we could not eat them the last two mornings as they had a fishy taste and odd texture. We did complain and staff looked at, smelled egg mixture, agreed it smelled fishy, but did not take it away. It would have been nice to have a breakfast meat, not just sausage gravy. Selection fairly small but I enjoyed the "make your own waffle". Fresh fruit, milk, yogurt, and cold cereals were good. Excellent coffee. Breakfast room pleasantly decorated and adequately staffed.
I did feel that management showed appropriate concern for complaints. We had children running in the halls on Saturday evening but it was handled promptly. What more could one ask?
Hotel nicely decorated, clean, cozy, quiet, and comfortable. Very convenient to grocery store, drug store, etc. Good beds. Crummy, non-substantial pillows. They could improve there.
Overall, a VERY good value though for the dollar. Free wi-fi in rooms but also access to a free desktop computer in lobby. The desk had fresh fruit or cookies and coffee/tea for guests at all times. People at desk were very courteous and friendly. They also have a guest laundry which is convenient. Laundry soap, personal items, etc. available at desk at a very reasonable cost.
I did not try the onsite bar/restaurant but it looked very nice, the specials looked (and smelled!) good, and I would have liked to have tried it. Ah well, next time...
Would I stay there again? YES Would I recommend it to my friends? YES! (but with a warning about those horrid faux eggs!) :-)
