We had no choice but to stay in this room as the hotel was full. The decor is like a bad 1950s horror movie, red walls and ceiling, black doors, two black lamps on either side of the bed and one little red lamp in a corner. Together with the black chest of drawers this made for a very dark room. A window at the back with broken panes of glass was stuck open, and the only obvious mode of heating was a fan heater plugged into the wall. Two acrylic rugs, one red one black, slid about the laminated floor. Huge jacuzzi in the room which we didn't try as we didn't have an hour to spare watching it fill. No tea or coffee making facilities, not even a water glass was provided until we asked the next day. The small chest of drawers contained a hairdryer, an assortment of screws and an anti slip plate mat. The clothes hanging facility was two coathangers on a hook at the back of the door. We had to move the bed for me to get in and out of it without bumping my head (I'm only 5 ft tall). On the plus side there was a window overlooking the bay at the front.
Breakfast was great. The staff were lovely and are the only reason that this review is poor rather than terrible. We dined in the restaurant on our first night and the food there was also good.
However we certainly won't be back!
