We found this hotel to be a nice little surprise! The rooms are clean and with all the expected amenities such as hot water with good water pressure, bathtub, airconditioning, and a color television with cable. Also included was a little refrigerator and microwave combination in the room, a little round study table, and an on-site laundry room with coin operated washers and driers with detergent vending machines. The outdoor (unheated) pool was nice and ranged from 3 feet deep to 9 feet. We didn't try the seafood restaurant, but it looked nice. The front desk even mailed a couple of letters for us. It is in a great location if you want to just jump over the border from Mexico and eat and shop like an American. In the heart of fast-food heaven, there's a pretty large mall almost across the street and a Walmart down the block. Also there is a movie theater just around the corner. The mall features the "Laredo Children's Museum" which is not really a childrens museum, but a playplace with lots of blocks, dress-up clothes, play houses and a simulated bank, and a pretty large crawl thingy like you see in the fast food play areas. The hotel design is the typical U-shape motor hotel with parking in front of your room, but it was mostly quiet with our door shut. The price was about 50 dollars for a double room.
