This hotel is located in Palma Nova, close to Golf Fantasia, and a 20 minute walk to Magaluf. We stayed for 7 nights on an all-inclusive basis.
The food was quite good quality for an all-inclusive, with buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner provided daily, as well as snacks (make your own sandwiches, salad and pastries in the morning and hot dogs, pasta, soup and chips in the afternoon) and ice cream throughout the day. Being a small hotel, there weren’t any other places to eat apart from the main dining area, and there was no room service.
The dining times were quite short. Breakfast (including a glass of champagne!) was from 8-10am, lunch 1-3pm and dinner 7-9pm. Unusually, there was no table service whatsoever. You found a table yourself, took your own plates and cutlery and served yourself from the buffet. Draught wine and water was available for self service in the restaurant, and all other drinks had to be requested from the bar and brought in to the dining area.
Drinks were only available from the pool bar during the day (10am-6pm) and only from the main bar from 6pm-12am (with a cash bar being available from 12pm-1am). There was also an upstairs bar called “Manhattens”, which never opened during our stay, despite the hotel being full.
The all-inclusive package allowed for a small glass of San Miguel lager, red/white wine on draught, sangria on draught as well as soft drinks and Spanish spirits. Other imported drinks, such as Magners cider were available to purchase. There was a three drink limit per person per order.
The rooms were small by Mallorca standards, and in need of a renovation, but included a small bedroom size TV (with BBC News and CNN in English), a personal safe (at a cost of €25 plus €5 deposit), and effective air conditioning. There was no fridge, and no option to hire one. When booking the hotel, I requested a room on a lower floor (as I was travelling with children), but this was not accommodated.
As with the rooms, the whole hotel really needs a renovation. The lobby and pool area furniture was shabby and appeared run down.
There was wifi available in our room, as well as the pool and lobby, at a charge of €4/day or €15/week. I didn’t use the wifi so can’t comment on signal strength or speed.
One major disappointment of the hotel was their policy on reserving sunbeds. There was a sign by the pool clearly stating not to reserve sunbeds, yet I regularly saw people placing towels on sunbeds at around 1am after finishing their drinking, in order to reserve a sunbed for the next day. In any other Mallorca hotel staff would remove the towels the next morning, but this wasn’t the case here, resulting in almost all sunbeds being taken by the 7:30am. One morning I got up at 6:30am to reserve a sunbed and was told this wasn’t permitted by security, so they are clearly inconsistent in their enforcement of rules.
Be aware if you’re requesting late checkout (at a cost of €25 to stay till 5pm or €35 to stay till 8pm) as this isn’t confirmed until the morning of departure, despite the hotel clearly knowing whether a room would be needed by someone else the previous day. Front desk staff were quite unhelpful in this respect.
Overall, I’d recommend you stay elsewhere in Palma Nova if you’re looking for a family break. Prices of local restaurants and bars are quite reasonable, so you don’t really need all inclusive unless you want to be tied to the same restaurant and bar for your holiday.
