At least right now, this hotel is the closest you can get to the Colonial Williamsburg Historic Area, without actually staying in the official William$burg hotels. That's a huge plus. Even better is that the hotel is rather new, and so everything is very nice. It's generally a standard Hampton Inn, the usual breakfast (mostly continental, with one hot option per day), and the very comfortable beds.
Only a couple bad things: The HVAC units are very very very loud. You will get used to them if you stay several days, and they will probably not keep you awake, but they are loud. Housekeeping will also turn the temperature up to 75 while you're gone, so the room will be toasty when you come in...I actually had to turn the temp down and leave one afternoon because it was too warm for me.
If you do stay here, pay the extra few bucks and get the suite. The suites are not only very spacious but (I think) they are also all isolated, in the corners of the hotel by themselves. This means you literally have no neighbors and will hear absolutely nothing (except perhaps a little running water above you).
