The hotel was in good condition with the rooms very clean and well serviced. The showers have good pressure unlke most 2-3 star places. They even provide a mossie zapper to keep the room mossie free. There is a pleasant little restaurant with a great shady terrace. We ate under the trees every breakfast. The breakfast is fine, Indonesian and American,The meals are very good value and even the beer is very reasonable. There is Wifi in the restaurant. The hotel provides cool clean filtered water and that is great.we had fun joking with the friendly staff. They have good modern safes for your valuables. The hotel is in the main connect road between poppies 2 and melasti. It is close to lots of good restaurants and live music venues but it is quiet. The salon about 30 M to the south on the corner is very good and the massages are cheap and professional.Nearby to the south is a lane between Jn Legian and the lane which has a great shady restaurant that has bali chicken to die for and grilled fish that is excellent. we had a great time.

Just arrived back after a week at the Vilarisi. For the cost, the rooms were clean and air conditioned, with great staff. The pool was not suitable for lounging around for the day so don't expect that, but you are not paying four star prices.

The staff were great-friendly and always helpful and the rooms were cleaned daily.

If you do want a budget-style, clean hotel, close to shops and the beach then this is it.

The first impression when I arrive at the Hotel is good and I really happy to select this hotel as my first hotel at Bali.

But when doing the payment, I realize that they are simply convert the USD to IDR without follow the bank rate. I feel I am cheated since when I first contact the hotel, I am asking for the IDR quote while the hotel management refuse and saying they only accept USD. While payment, they convert the USD to the IDR which is highest rate than outside and I feel i have been over charges. (I check the street conversion is USD 1 = IDR 8870, but Vilarisis use the rate USD 1 = IDR 10000 )

Secondly, when I having the breakfast at the hotel restaurant, the food is OK but I feel that I didn't get the respect from the staff. I always have to request then will get the tea or coffee while other guest can get immediate attention when they sit down. This make me feel odd and very uncomfortable.

Lastly, have to appreciate that the hotel room is good whereby is spacious and comfortable. This is the only good impression I have toward the 2 night stay at Vilarisi Hotel.
