Right in the French Quarter, doesn't get any better than that! Strip club a couple doors down, but hey, you're in New Orleans!
The front desk seemed to really enjoy helping visitors find their way around, always got service with a smile. Calling this a "resort" is a big stretch, there is a tiny splash pool in the courtyard where you can cool off if you don't mind being on display. Other than that, I'm not sure what exactly the resort-y part was. The wine and cheese was paper plates and folding chairs, which were all taken. Also, if you like strong coffee, bring your own! The morning coffee was like a brown crayon dipped in water. This is a timeshare, and we were approached to discuss the "opportunity," but declined, we were never pressured or approached again.
We came during the Jazz Festival, and stayed in two different rooms. The first was a very nice two bedroom two bath, with a big master bedroom, felt like an apartment with an impressive kitchen area, in the back of the building and off the street, very quiet and private. Our second room was a one bedroom on Rue Chartres, which was noisy at night and not nearly as nice. But would definitely stay there again, so much nicer than a cramped hotel room!
