The best hotel that I have stayed in for a long time! The rooms was super comfortable, great mattresses, decor, bathroom with a/c. Fabulous meals (dinner and breakfast) ! Beautiful expansive property with lovely gardens and paths to walk and hammocks to relax in. Beautiful pool with magnificent palapa dinning area and bar. Super charming and attentive hosts! Very professional and friendly staff. Great location; easy to get to anywhere in town. Peaceful, quiet so you can enjoy the sounds of all the birds.
Will recommend to all my friends and family and will definitely come back.

Room tip: They all looked fabulous

The rooms aren't spectacular and this is a very rustic place. but relax atmosphere and the owners' personal touch really adds to the charm.
the wifi isn't available in the rooms. the pool is small but relaxing. to top it all the owner can accommodate all your requests and a chat at the excellent bar is a must.

We spent one night at Hacienda Hotel Santo Domingo after visiting Chichen Itza and on our way to Merida the following day. We booked based on the many positive reviews and I can say they were all spot on!

The hotel's ambiance is incredible. It is a big plot with lots of trees and plants, creating an atmosphere that is extremely relaxing and romantic. The owners are extremely kind and helpful and the food was magnificent. If we hadn't already booked our hotel in Merida the next day we would have definitely stayed a second night. Izamal itself is well worth a visit too.

We were so pleased that we found this lovely relaxing hotel, which is based in a quiet area of Izamal. The grounds are beautiful and our room was wonderfully spacious, attractive and with an open air shower. I had been a little concerned about the risk that this shower might attract mosquitoes, but there were none as there is a fine mesh preventing them from entering.

We chose to have dinner there and I asked in advance if it was possible to have a low salt meal. I was told that there would be no problem with this and the end result was delicious - probably our favourite meal of the holiday.

Harald and his team made us most welcome and we felt that we could have easily stayed for longer in such relaxing surroundings, and at a very fair price.

Room tip: The room with the outside shower!

Nice place to relax and chill for a few days when travelling around. Should have a car when being around. Food is very good, not to say excellent - but only available to guests of this place. Mix of yucatecan and european style. Hosts are very helpful and gentle.
