Stayed here one night and that was quite sufficient.. the room, clean, though tired and smelt stale, the breakfast which upon signing in was called a 'buffet' existed of toast, selection of packet cereal and tinned peaches. When I enquired as to what would be the closest place for breakfast the man on the check in desk said 'i dunno'.. well that really sets the mood for the day! I was surprised at his lack of knowledge being on the front desk of a hotel, and pointed this out.. well that was the beginning of very unproductive conversation. Highlander, a bit of staff training would not go astray.. I decided later in the day to cancel by nights planned booking, and the young lady who was then on the desk was understanding and handled the change of plans with ease and efficiency..

Room tip: If you can find an alternative to staying here.. consider it!

Our choice to stay at the Highlander was made easy by a staff member at another nearby hotel whose rooms were not up to standard.
The staff at the Highlander were very helpful and friendly.
Our room and ensuite bathroom were very clean and the bed was comfortable so we enjoyed a great night's sleep.
The restaurant was good value but the night we went was rather noisy.
Continental breakfast was provided as part of our tariff and was very basic but ok.

Room tip: Book a back unit. Very quiet.

The Highlander is a well managed by the lovely Joanne. This pub has great entertainment and great food. While having breakfast I watched a cleaner on her hands and knees cleaning the bottom bar in the lounge!! If you stay on weekends be prepared to listen to some music, you are invited to go in and listen, otherwise music stops around 2am, I was lucky enough to have Planet Square, great band.. So if you love good music, good food, great service, Highlander is your pub.Rooms are basic but clean and have flat screens with austar . Younger people will love this pub!!!

Room tip: If you are into Music and good entertainment and good food and traveling on a weekend, give the Highlander a go. Staff are friendly and look after you.

This is a below par hotel in a dreary neighbourhood. You pay a lot for barely adequate rooms. The rooms need a paint lick and the rooms have a musty smell.
Food in the hotel is greasy and tepid.
The worst part. which has been mentioned before is that it a noisy nocturnal location. The Motel seems to concentrate more on their disco than the comfort of there guests. Post midnight you will here rowdy LOUD activity from drunken fights to screaming women

Room tip: Stay away. There are better options in Adelaide

Only ate here, did not stay.
The food is your average hotel food, nothing to rave about but can't complain either.
2 soups, vegetable & salad bar as well as fresh rolls.
The shanks were good & seafood fresh & nicely cooked, not overly battered & oozing fat as in some pubs.
Staff very friendly, service good.
The place is old, tired, dark, dull & depressing - in desperate need of a make over. Needs more than the added water feature.
Restaurant opens at 5 so means it's noisy with children early.
