First let me start by saying we have been going to this border town since 2010 for dental and eye care and pharmacy since 2010. The trip is 3 hours each way for us. We were apprehensive about staying in Mexico but I anticipated the necessity of two days work. I did a Google search of hotels near Yuma and then read reviews on TripAdvisor, Everything I read was good and I say it was excellent! The hotel was very close to the border crossing. We felt safe at all times. It was one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed in and we travel extensively. We parked in the Q parking lot as most US auto insurances will not cover you in Mexico. Tell them when you pay upon entering that you are staying over night and they give you an overnight pass for $10 instead of the $6 day charge. We were able to go the the casino for a couple of hours and return at no additional charge. We had our dental appointments and ordered our eye glasses, then visited the pharmacy and the liquor store. Next we headed to the hotel about 4 streets over.If you use the Sani dental groups you will be picked up and shuttled you there but we use a different dentist for many years.
