Stayed here for a week B+B and I have to say, from the moment we arrived to our departure the staff were extremely friendly, the food was excellent, the pool area was good and the room was very good also.
There was champagne on arrival and we were upgraded to the 4th floor. The room was big and functional - big balcony with furniture on it, large bathroom, safe, and plenty of closet space.
There was also a mini-bar and tea/coffee. And the view was brilliant.
The lifts are extremely quick by the way...always a plus when so many guests are staying.
Breakfast each morning was a buffet, and Leticia and gang looked after us each morning on the deck we smiles and the odd song. The food is fresh and tasty and the options are endless.
The pool areas are really nice, very clean. The pools themselves could have done with a quick clean as they are beside flower beds etc and the dirt tends to get in the pool.However on the Friday evening before checking out I did see someone cleaning the pools but not the man-made lake.
The veranda bar is a lovely area to chill out, can be deemed expensive, and at 7eur for a n/a cocktail of fruit juices that would be one minus point. The food is really good here and the staff here are very good.
Its a 10min walk to the promenade of Calleta de Fuste and I would recommend Fado Rock for good steak and atmosphere in the town. (Choice of top-end quality restaurants is limited)
The restaurants in the hotel were quiet on the nights we visited (didn't visit the buffet), but this was mainly due to most people having kids and eating earlier. The food in the Asian restaurant was melt in your mouth!!
If you are into running there is a long run out by the sea that goes for about 10k (as far as I went).
Its 15mins from the airport and a taxi is about 12eur.
The negatives - the pillows - filled with fresh air!! They are really bad, and unfortunately they are all the same it wasnt just our room. I stuffed mine in the evening with a hoodie to beef it up.
Wifi - works out quite expensive, but the hotel have a well serviced business section called links@sheraton which has free access to the web.
Overall, I am looking forward to returning...
Ask for an upgrade to the higher floors.
