I stayed here for two nights for a two day conference with my work mid December 2014. As a place to hold a conference it worked just fine, there were no glitches and staff was friendly and helpful. However, if you're planning on visiting my beautiful home town Stockholm, I would not recommend you stay here. The location is off and there are other, more attractive hotel options that are more centrally located within the same price range. If you bring your own car, like I did, be aware that parking is something of a hassle in a garage that requires entering a pin code twice, and that it's expensive: SEK150 per day.

My room was big, quiet, pretty nicely decorated and with a comfortable bed. However, wifi did not work well in the room, and there was no view whatsoever. The gym is a real, actual gym run by a Swedish gym/spa operator, not your usual little hotel fitness room. Same as with parking, usage of the gym is not included for hotel guests, however, but will cost you another SEK95 (twice as much on weekends). This is such a rip-off and really poor customer service, in my opinion.

The worst part about my stay here was the food. It was abysmal, we all agreed - and we were a party of 40 something people. The first night I had to send back my dish twice before it finally was served hot. In the breakfast room, eggs and bacon were cold without exception. And the Christmas smorgasbord, which is "compulsory" this time of year, was not done nicely, with people having to stand in line for a long time to help themselves from the buffet.

Would I stay here again, if, for some reason, I had to stay in a hotel in Stockholm? No.

We were looking for a nice romantic hotel in Stockholm to spend a night and decided to book Elite Marina. A hotel with a sea view, overlooking Stockholm, cool.
We payed extra for a room with sea view. But to call this a room "a room with sea view" is to take big words in your mouth. The window was so small, you had to sit very close to the window to be able to see anything. Personally I think is rude to charge extra for this.

Don't get me wrong, the rooms are good but the services/Amenities are such a low down.
First off, there is no food during the day until 5pm (including room service).
Bar is only open in the evening, so you can't get a drink in the lobby at all.
There is no cash machine in the hotel. For a hotel which is far from anything, they should have a cash facility on site.
The reception staff is helpful but need improvement on knowing the area (they sent me to a supermarket to get some cash, but the supermarket only take Swedish cards).

This is my favorite hotel when staying in Stockholm. Prices are not bad, the breakfast is excellent and the amenities are also up-to-par. My only issue with this hotel is that it is not in the city centre, it's a bit off and I always end up paying too much for taxis back and forth. Possibly you can take the ferry to the city centre but I'm not sure how easy or convenient that is.

The internet connection is fast enough for streaming the world championship, the rooms are modern but nice and the staff is friendly. I'm not a fan of the room service menu, it's a bit limited but I also had one of the best steaks ever here so overall I think it is OK.

Room tip: sea side view costs extra and is usually a bit overrated in my opinion, the windows are kind of small.
