We booked a flight just two weeks in advance when my son had the chance to travel to see friends in Brazil. Only difficulty we had was when I called the customer helpline because I didn’t speak Portuguese and it was hard to understand each other. Apart from that we had a brilliant experience with the booking, and online check...

We were pleasantly surprised by the modernness of this airline. Kiosk check-in at the airport (we didn't have checked bags so can't speak to that experience", clean waiting areas, the airplane was perfectly fine/clean/modern for the short 1.5 hour trip. In addition the flight attendants were friendly and reasonable (perhaps a bit militant on how far under the seat a...

I came 1.5 hour before my flight and I hardly cought it up. The lines are huuuuuge at check-in. The self-checkin wasn't succesful and I was adviced to ask the stuff for help. The guy was slow. The lines for dropping baggage didn't move at all. I stayed for 15 minutes because couple was filling in some papers and everybody...

I always enjoy LATAM. Their planes are comfortable and usually have decent entertainment. They don't charge for luggage in Latin America like many US-based airlines do. They always give food, which I appreciate!

We had seen mixed reviews of Latam so were a bit worried but we had quite a few internal flights and all were OK. Would travel with them again.

Ive soared to Madrid last 08 of November from Santiago, Ive checked my backpack, without problems, went to boarding gate, everything was fine, we took off to Madrid. The new Boeing 787-9 is all new from top to bottom and this reflects in our confort, more legg room, light ambience, all helps reduce the jet leg effects. The food was...

I had never flown Latam before our trip to Buenos Aires but it was a great airline. Both our flights there and home were on time or early. Food was ok and there was snacks and drinks offered during the night. There was a good range of movies and TV shows available. Staff were all very friendly and spoke both...

I don't think it's really that hard to provide a simple (soft) drinks service on a short flight, but these guys didn't give it much of a try. There was ample time to serve a not-full flight, but they didn't bother. Staff were aloof and clearly "going through the motions". Similar experience flying back to Cusco, then on to Lima....

About LATAM Airlines
In August 2010, LAN and TAM Brazilian Airlines announced plans to merge their companies into a single brand and operation to be known as LATAM Airlines Group. TAM and LAN together serve around 115 destinations in 23 countries with a combined fleet of 280 aircraft. In May 2016, the new brand of the combined carrier was revealed and the phasing out of the individual airline identities began. While the airline will still maintain separate IATA codes for the former airlines, the identity, product and service standards have begun to be standardised. The merged carrier, the largest in Latin America, is known as LATAM Airlines, a member of the oneworld alliance.
