Took the flights as a part of the Aitutaki day trip. Everything was on time. Plane was clean and water/coffee/tea for free. Soda and snacks at a fee. The Sabb 340 does not have an on board lavatory, but the flight is only 50 minutes. They are the only airline to get around the Cook Islands, but they have been...

Great check in at Rarotonga, plane ok, as far as I know only way to get to Aitutaki so have to go with the flow. Air hostess not overly friendly but didn't worry me that tends to be some of the Rarotongans.

The flight was bumpy to start with but the views were amazing once we got past the clouds. Plane itself was very old and small which i did not like. Going over i was on a Metroliner no airhostess, coming back was on a Saab 340 which was much better

One of the best ways to travel to the outer islands of the Cook Islands. The airline has been providing its services for years. Its also the airline that takes you to Aitutaki to enjoy the day tour which is a must do when visiting the Cook Islands.

We traveled on Air Rarotonga in March this year and the small aircraft was full of cockroaches, initially there were only tiny ones walking around then larger ones started appearing everywhere!! The hostess squashed them it’s was revolting. Not an enjoyable flight at all given they are my worst insect to encounter.

This review is specific to the Air Rarotonga airline. For further details on the VAKA Cruise and the various motu in Aitutaki, please read my other reviews. Air Rarotonga offers a day tour to the beautiful island of Aitutaki. At NZD$493 per person it will seem to be a hefty pricetag, but as a miser and cost-conscientious traveler, I feel...

We flew Air Rarotonga as part of a day tour to Aitutaki. A short flight, but they still served refreshments on the compact Saab. On the return flight back to Raro, there was also the option of purchasing a wine or beer, which was appreciated after a hectic day. Couldn't fault the airline or informative captains.

Having won a day trip through Facebook - yes it does happen- we were booked on the Vaka Cruise on Aitutaki with Air Rarotonga. Has to be the best day trip you can take to see the amazing beauty of the Cook Islands. We really wished we had booked some time on Aitutaki as taking the Vaka Cruise was so...

Air Rarotonga operate a fleet of one Saab 340A, two Embraer EMB-110P and 1 Bandeirante. It is a great and safe, scenic little airline which services the outlying Cook Islands like Aitutaki, Atiu, Mangaia etc. The flight across the Aitutaki lagoon is picture postcard beautiful.
