A neglected but essential airline if you want to visit the Democratic Peoples' Republic of Korea (North Korea). Because of international economic sanctions, they fly rather aged Tupelov and Antonov aircraft, but because of the novelty. The cabin crew are charming, polite and helpful and the seating is good. The flight is short and therefore there is very little in-flight...

I honestly was expecting the worst from this airline, but I was completely wrong, and pleasantly surprised. The staff are very helpful, and the polightest airline staff I have ever met. The food whent down as a treat- I still can’t recall the names of the exotic Korean food, but it certainly was delicious! And het- this was a short haul...

It´s different, but decent. The food is as good / as bad as every carrier has. Nothing to complain. Atmosphere is excited, not because of the safety-issues, but probably because of the intriguing destination. You´ll get the first idea of DPRK; military music and glorifying of The Great Leader. Service is good.

Attentive service, complementary reading material, full meal included (on a short haul flight!), comfortable seats, their on-board entertainment actually worked and they didn’t lose my luggage.

The flight was of an average and of standard quality compared to any western company. Yet, there was more of leg-room and a lot of novelties for a short international flight: for example a very interesting entertainment program on TVs (military chors and Korean karaoke) and some local beverages served by beautiful and charming hostesses. It was a short eventless...

Maybe when people think of North Korea they think about a backward country where the only reliable transportation means is a donkey and an airplane operated by them is bound to some catastrophic epilogue ! Or they expect that the international sanctions have affected the nation so badly that there is hardly any money to provide any safe and acceptable...

Just an average airline. The one star rating is totally unfair. The plane was clean, the service was polite and prompt, took off on time, landed on time. Skilled pilots got us safely through some turbulence. Felt very safe and cozy. The famous Air Koryo burger was barely edible, and the fizzy drink had an interesting color and taste, but...

The plane was old but clean and the service was quite good. The plane was very noisy in operation and didn't provide too smooth a flight. Fun to be able to tell people we flew Air Koryo and survived, or even surviving the DPRK.
