The country's state-owned flag carrier, Croatia Airlines (OU) is headquartered near Zagreb and operates from a hub at Zagreb International Airport (ZAG). Croatia Airlines is a regional operator serving mostly routes connecting capitals of Europe with Zagreb, the capitol of the country. Overall we had an ok experiance. It's good for short flights.

GARBAGE AIRLINE!!!!!! They go out of their way to make everyone miserable. Small, slow, HOT, cramped dirty little planes. Depart 1.5 hours late ..for no reason, no reason at all. Make you wait on broiling hot tarmac ..for no reason, no reason at all. And when you finally get in the Terminal ..you wait another hour HOPING to get your luggage. Also for no reason, no reason at all. Maybe staff is on their hourly Vodka break? TOTAL DISGRACE. NEED TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS IMMEDIATELY…

Dubrovnik - Zagreb
Domestic
Decided to fly (~1hr) from Dubrovnik to Zagreb to maximise our time. Small airport, short flight; thought it'd be a smooth process. After waiting several hours, found out via email that our flight at 10:35pm was delayed till 12:15am. Then hours later, another email to say it was delayed till 12:30am (thankfully not that much longer). Plane seemed full. The short flight was not notable; no snacks, can't remember if we were offered water. Baggage claim was also a longer wait than expected, considering the airport didn't seem busy. We didn't get out of the airport until about 2:20am. It was difficult to book Uber/Bolt taxis for a 10-15min period after. Just had to be a bit patient. We did muse that it might've been better to have taken Flixbus, with which we have had no major issues, but that was under the wrong idea it was a 6hr ride. It's actually 9-10hr. Bus schedules are also limited. So in hindsight, the flight, though delayed, was still a better option for us to buy more time in Dubrovnik.…
