Spacious ergonomical seats which are quite roomy and comfortable. The back is shaped in such a way that it moulds to your back and you don't have to put it on recline to be comfy. Generous amenities (full water bottle to last you throughout the flight, in flight comfort kit and of course fun kid packs for the little ones)...

Having flown Premium Economy with another carrier this year we decided to upgrade for this flight also. It is very much worth paying the extra on a long haul flight and JAL were worth the upgrade but I have to say that the other carrier we used this year was slightly better...not much... the seat comfort and inflight entertainment were...

The extra money is worth it, with more space and better amenities - for long haul trips I would heartily recommend it! My husband is a little overweight (5'9", 230 lbs), so long flying times in cramped seats don't appeal to him. Premium economy let him recline comfortably, with a footrest, so he actually slept, which he normally can't do...

Good old 767 aircraft that has great 2-3-2 layout in economy. Typical domestic service with soft drinks only and attentive staff. Punctual. I have one world Sapphire card so enjoying the perk like a airline lounge and priority check in and boarding are an advantage.

Have to wait more than 4 hours before we can check in, just because of the Taifun. Have to rush for boarding after check in. I agree with safety first policy and do not mind the wait. Luckily the airport facility in the area before check in, is quite good, so we are not too uncomfortable, because no waiting lounge...

Always impressed with JAL. The service is just solid. I wouldn't go far as to say friendly... but it is efficient and quality. The seats in Premium Economy were good... certainly on par with the offerings from Cathay and Qantas.... and better than American or BA! The flight might take longer.... but its great way to get to NYC. Watch...

We flew the Sydney-Narita and Narita-Frankfurt legs and return with JAL (the Canberra-Sydney-Canberra legs were with Qantaslink). The JAL ticket was by far the cheapest business class ticket other than KoreanAir (and the Chinese airlines that require a long layover in a Chinese airport) and included hotel overnights in Sydney and Narita on the outward journey. The JAL route to...

JAL is an example of Japanese service, friendliness and efficiency. I had upgraded to PE for a reasonable price and the seat and extra space were worth the cost. Meals are the same as in economy with some added extra's like Champagne and noodle cups. Staff very courteous and with a quick response to a call. Meals were tasty and...

If you like Japanese Mangas/comics and plan to go to Japan, take Japan Airlines. Many manga are available for you to read for the 8 or 9 hours spent in the airplane. You won't get bored at all. Also, their food was great -- I had Udon noodles and rice with salmon (instead of the chicken or beef dishes served...

JAL were wonderful to fly with. We had our four children with us and they were very attentive to ensure that they were comfortable and happy. The meals were lovely and larger than other airline meals. The entertainment system was very up to date and modern. The plane itself was roomy and economy did not feel squashy at all. We...
