We booked Sata, then we're boarded on a Spanish air carrier "plus ultra". 6 hour delay on return. 3 hour delay on departure. Ran out of food and water on return. Absolute garbage never again. I'm never flying Sata or acores airlines again. Strikes, lies, no accountability.

Azores Airlines (SATA) seems to have this unmentioned policy of cancelling flights if enough seats aren't sold. We were given food vouchers at the airport and then taken 40 min away to a nice golf resort to spend the night with 2 meals, to try again 26 hrs later. Stop off in the Azores to fuel and clean plane required...

Was pleasantly surprised with SATA airlines. Although our flight date was originally changed one time, the overal experience with SATA was good. Boarding and deboarding seemed very slow. A meal was served on both flights along with beverages -beer and wine free. Also free earbuds, blankets and pillows, which was a refreshing surprise. Additional drinks and beverages were also offered....

Worst airlines we've ever experienced always changing flight times had direct flight changed to lay over, day of departure changed our return flight to an 8hr layover which turned into a 12hrs layover Food terrible only good thing was the crew, they were excellent. Unhappy traveler

I flew SATA from Boston for a week long vacation to Sao Miguel. Our return flight which was initially scheduled for a 40 minute layover in Terceira islands was cancelled from Terceira and then we were re-booked on another flight from Terceira, which was the next day. Basically, they forced us to spend 24 hours in Terceira. On the day...

Flight like any other, plane not full so had 3 seats between 2 so fairly comfortable. Gluten free meal requested and was probably the best gf meal I’ve had on an airline - Infinitely better than British Airways.

We had a total of 5 SATA flights on our trip to the Azores; 2 international and 3 inter-island. All but one of them were cancelled, delayed or re-routed. When they cancelled our international flights we were not notified. We learned about it because we thought to check our reservations a few days prior to departure. At that point we...

Had a layover for 13 house from Portugal to the San Francisco Bay Area on The Azores Islands. Absolutely wonderful Island we visited. Booked our flight with American Express Travel. We were to fly out at 1:30 pm to Oakland(Bay Area). When we arrived to the airport, Sata Airlines had apparently changed our departure time to 3:30 pm two days...

My wife and I were booked on a SATA Airlines flight through Azores Getaways on April 4, 2018. For reasons that we were never told our flight was delayed by approximately 30 hours. We received communication through the airline and Azores Getaways that we would be reimbursed for out of pocket expenses related to the delays. Specific instructions were given...
