On a recent domestic flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg travelling with a group of 15 cricket players, we were made to wait 90 minutes on the runway without any water or food in stifling heat, as the air conditioning on the plane was out of order! On our departure the hostess was taken aback when we complained about the...

On a recent domestic flight with 15 young people, we were held on the runway at Johannesburg for almost 5 hours. The communication from the flight deck was almost non-existent and the service while stranded was equally poor. Fortunately, the passengers were patient and made the waiting bearable. Very poor form SAA.

The almost 12 hour flight from Perth on South African Airways was a difficult one with the inflight entertainment very poor and the service not quite what you would expect from the best Airline in Africa. SAA can certainly upgrade their fleet of planes and the inflight entertainment needs a serious overhaul. A disappointing experience to say the least.

This airline is superb within Africa , staff are very friendly and service is very efficient, they manage to serve a meal in a very short time. Food is better than on their intercontinental flights

Very Customer Service oriented; genuinely interested in your comfort and needs. Airplane was a Airbus 340; very updated. Only drawback was there was no air control available at every seat.

The beds in this plane were very comfortable with the added light mattress and large covers. The service was good, could have been better with the attendants spending less time chatting with each other and attending to their clients.Cannot comment about the food as I was not feeling well and ate little.

Airport staff was lovely. Boarding was very efficient. The food was very good. The on board service was miserable and the stewards especially were very surly and not helpful or accommodating! The flight attendant at the beginning of the flight talked about Mr Mandela and respect. Steward Dane Boyson has none. Very dissatisfied with the service. Also my in flight...
