The country's flag carrier, SriLankan Airlines (UL) operates from a hub at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB). A member of the Oneworld alliance, the airline was founded in 1978 as Air Lanka. SriLankan Airlines flies to 33 destinations in 20 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Oceania. Including its codeshare agreements with 17 carriers, it serves almost 100 destinations in 49 countries. The airline's fleet of 24 aircraft includes planes with one-cabin Economy Class configurations as well as planes configured with both Business Class and Economy Class cabins.
