Located 11 miles northeast of downtown, the Calgary International Airport (YYC) serves the greater Calgary area and surrounding areas in Alberta. It is a hub for Air Canada and WestJet, and has the distinction of having the longest runway in Canada as well as the tallest control tower. In total, it has four runways and a single terminal with three concourses. About 15.3 million passengers used the airport in 2014 flying to and from destinations within Canada, and to points in the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia. Passenger amenities at the Calgary International Airport include shopping, restaurants, luggage storage, free WIFI internet, ATMs, a spa, shoe shine stand, visitor information, onsite hotel, currency exchanges, arcades and the Calgary International SpacePort.
