The largest of the commercial airports in Toronto and the busiest airport in Canada, Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is located 14 miles northwest of downtown. About 38.6 million passengers used the airport in 2014. In total, about 40 airlines operate at Toronto Pearson, including Air Canada and WestJet, which have both designated it as a hub. Other carriers with a significant presence include Air Transat, American Airlines, Sunwing Airlines and United Airlines. Toronto Pearson has five runways and two passenger terminals: Terminal 1, which has 61 gates, and Terminal 3, which has 39 gates. Airport amenities include retail stores, restaurants, free WIFI internet, luggage storage, art exhibits, nail salons and duty-free shopping.
