Located on the southern end of Australia's Gold Coast, Gold Coast Airport (OOL) straddles the border of Queensland and New South Wales. It is the sixth busiest in Australia, serving more than 5.7 million passengers in 2013-14. The airport serves as a hub for Jetstar Airways and is a focus city for Virgin Australia. Other carriers operating at OOL include AirAsia X, Air New Zealand, Qantas, Scoot and Tigerair Australia. Passengers can fly non-stop between OOL and destinations across Australia, plus points in New Zealand, Kuala Lumpur, Fiji, Singapore and Japan. Gold Coast Airport has two runways and two terminals. The Main Terminal handles passengers traveling on nearly all carriers.
