Totally fine, nothing crazy special. Nice helpful staff and guides. It’s advertised as 2 hours but the actual time in the sub is 45 mins. The boat trip there, checkin, etc and trip back is decently long. We asked the shop attendees if we could bring the beer we bought there onboard and they said yes and they have rum and snacks and then 2 minutes before arrival on the boat they said no drinks and we had to dump them. Didn’t see much more than we didn’t snorkeling but was still a cool experience to be down deep.

All the fish had gone to bed!!,we saw very few,bit of a disappointment,was fascinating though seeing the placton shining in the darkness,Jordan our host was very knowledgeable and funny,a credit to the company,everyone was very attentive and polite

It was a thrilling experience, perfect for water-lovers and ocean explorers. The staff is professional and attentive, and the captain’s jokes were hitting. An experience that I’ll recommend to both locals and tourists.

From the check in, to the ride to the submarine, to the safety instructions, to the comedic commentary, to the under water scenery, this was professionally orchestrated and exceeded our expectations.

Better to do a night trip I’m told and we had a fun time. Lots of fish to see, turtles and a shipwreck. The submariners/ guides are fun and entertaining. Don’t bother with the premium boarding. I don’t feel we were at any advantage to the rest of the group.

I have to admit I was a bit nervous to go on the submarine, but it was absolutely brilliant. Our guide on the PA had some hilarious yet informative chat on everything we saw. We were lucky enough to sit right behind the Captain (very jealous of his job!) What a view out of the windows - ship wreck, coral reef, fish, fish and more fish. I 100% recommend! Went with my 8 year old son at the end of our cruise, wonderful way to spend the last morning as we had to be out of our cabin, so great entertainment while waiting to go to the airport for our flight home. My son already thought he had been on a submarine (anyone who has been to Legoland UK will understand why 😂). We went down to 140ft in Barbados though, thrilling!

I wasn't sure about booking this at first as I thought it was for children and maybe just a glorified glass bottomed boat, maybe descending only a few metres (I should have read the website!). A couple in our hotel booked it and were raving about it so we immediately booked the night dive. The max depth of the sub tour is 150ft. It's amazing! We are scuba divers and still found this experience to be very exciting. The guide was humorous and informative. We actually learned a few things. I definitely recommend the night tour (there were no children). Plenty of fish life to see & soft corals. Plus a small wreck. Brilliant fun!

Amazing. Good guides! Beautiful experience and safe, which is important. People at the port was very nice and guided to the ferry and then the submarine. Explanations inside the submarine were excellent and music as well!

Our overall experience was just okay. The night trip first mate and commentator was entertaining. We didn't see much sea life, not sure if we would see more during the day or not. Part of the appeal of the night trip was the addition of the food and beverage during the ride back to port. The f/b was very disappointing. It was not well organized. The one hostess could have used some help. She was single-handedly trying to serve 35-40 guests during the short boat ride back to port. Most guests didn't get any beverage and some didn't get food. The four tatertot- sized fish bites we got for the two of us were cold. We would give it another try, for a day trip.

It was a unique underwater experience, staff was friendly and helpful. My family utterly enjoyed themselves. Two thumbs up!

Very cool experience. Seeing coral reef and fish up close without getting wet! Tour guide on Justin's cruise was enterrtaining as well . Very worthwhile; unique experience.

It was disappointing not much to see, there were a few fish, the submarine lights was not adequate not value for money. The day tour I heard was spectacular suggestion either reduce price of night your or scrap it altogether.

A rare opportunity to see the sea bed up close. We saw fish and a turtle and it’s light and airy even though it’s a submarine . A really novel experience and easy way to see the underwater world.

Quite average if you’ve ever scuba or snorkeled before. Cool to be in a submarine for the sake of it, but not worth it for the marine life experience itself. Seen and gotten closer to more fish and marine life while snorkeling reefs. We went on the night tour, but didn’t really see any nocturnal animal life. Only semi-interesting was when they turned off all lights and we could experience how pitch black it really was, and we then saw some of the luminescent algae. Other than that I think the day trip is just as good as the night one, maybe better too. The commentary was also quite difficult to hear with a fair bit of “noise” from the speakers, and not the most scientific content when commenting fish/animal life. Altogether, a fair enough trip if you wanna see how life below sea level are, and scuba diving/ taking some dives while snorkeling is not for you.

Have been coming to Barbados for years and finally took the “plunge”. Atlantis Submarine gives you what you pay for. An underwater experience that you would only accomplish if you dive. I’ve seen the pictures of the corral and fish as my husband is a diver. To see it first hand was breathtaking. The actual submarine portion is only about 30 minutes long (whole trip 2 hours). The sub as one may imagine has limited space and the seats are placed to have maximum capacity. Larger bodies (275+) may find it a tad uncomfortable, but then the ride is short so it’s not unbearable. The grandson loved picking out the different types of coral and fish. For him the ride was unforgettable and the captain was gracious enough to let him have a photo at the end. Remember, you do have to ferry out to the sub, so if you don’t have your sea legs and the waters are rough… well you get it.. sick bags await. The staff were amazing and I would recommend you do this tour at least once.
