Jump aboard a tuk-tuk, a 3-wheeled motorized vehicle, and travel like the locals around Willemstad on this Curacao shore excursion with multiple departure times to fit your schedule. Listen to your guide's commentary to learn all about the history and culture of the city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy stops at highlights such as the governor's palace, Fort Amsterdam, the Floating Market, and the luxe neighborhood of Scharloo.

What to Expect

This tour departs from your cruise ship port. From there, embark on a tour of the city via tuk-tuk, a motorized 3-wheeled vehicle. This nimble mode of transportation allows your guide to move in and out of traffic quickly, making the most of your time.

Listen to guided commentary on Willemstad’s history, culture, and modern iterations to learn more than if exploring on your own.

Zoom over Queen Emma Bridge, Queen Juliana Bridge, and Queen Wilhelmina Bridge, three landmarks of the city and learn about their architecture and engineering.

Travel through streets lined with impressive colonial mansions in Scharloo and visit a floating market.

Visit other highlights that shed light on the city’s past and future, including the Governor’s Palace, Fort Amsterdam, Jewish temple of Emanu-El, and the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral (Pietermaai Cathedral).

End your tour back at the port with ideas of where you might like to explore further on your own.

Not good

Our two hour tour was 40 minutes. The driver was virtually unintelligible. He was also obsessed with telling us ‘where the Jews used to live.’ We didn’t see many of the landmarks in the description - instead, we drove through back streets. It was weird.
