From the beginning process of inquiring and making the reservation Helen was very prompt and helpfull in guiding us so we can optimise our experience.As soon as we arrived, Helen recieved us with a very warm welcome.The accomodation beach hut style were comfy and the perfect place to disconnect.The school occupy a prime spot on the beach where we can store our equipment.Very convenient it made our stay super easy and relax.Plug and play ! We started our first day with a down wind.The instructors Miky and David and the Captain Cesar were very attentive and professional nothing was to much trouble.It is about 1h30 from Paradise island it is a must do!!The views looking out while you kite are amazing! We had a paquage with breakfast and diner included , food was very tasty and freshly made.We had delicious fish and meat Dominican style.And if you have special requirements they are very accomodating. While we shared meal time with other guest it allows you to meet extraodinary people and exchange lots of great stories! The site is not overcrowded at least when we were there...So we had lots of area to play with. Thank you for this special moments, we will return soon!

I have tried a few kite surfing schools in the Dominican Republic and there is a clear winner. If you want kite surfing school cabarete or kite surfing school buen hombre I highly recommend this team of professionals. Everything they do is designed to make your kite surfing journey a blast! To make your experience more comfortable this school offers everything from transportation to lodging, spectacular graduation ceremonies, and an overall great vibe. Also if you are looking for a more simple option (just lessons) they offer that too. I would say the price is fair and they are an honest company who provides years of professional experience and they have a great reputation.

We had a wonderful holiday over New years 2023-2024 with our 2 adult kids. It started with a nice pickup at PPlata airport and scenic drive thru the DR countryside. The camp is ideally situated on the kite beach, with perfect conditions for learning or progressing, or just ‘mowing the lawn’. We really enjoyed the communal meals and family dogs. Riin, Miky and Helen are wonderful hosts, and you come away feeling like you’ve made a lot of new friends. Our daughter took the kite lesson package and was going comfortably upwind by day 2, a testament to Miky’s great teaching skills. By day 4 she was doing a 2hr downwinder, and quite smoothly at that. (pro-tip: bring two kites on the downwinder in case one develops a leak). If you want a taste of glamping in rural DR, with terrific kite conditions and friendly hosts, book yourself in. A shout out to a fellow visitor ‘uncle Don’ who kept us laughing the whole week.

From the second my friend and I walked through the gate we were greeted by a welcoming staff that throughout the stay made us feel welcome and a part of there family. Even as a non kiter I enjoyed my stay so much I didn't want to leave. We were a part of a day group trip to the 7 islands with was an amazing trip. Even though some of the accommodation can be a little rustic we loved the experience. Would highly recommend booking a stay here.

Best kitesurfing school in very safe conditions with experienced instructors. This place is an experience in real nature. The water is shallow and safe and the best place for a beginner indeed. Very safe camp and kind hosts. A wonderful vacation with guests from all over the world, adventures and dinners together.

I have been to Kite Buen Hombre twice now, and am currently planning a 3rd trip (all as a solo female traveler)! This is where I learned to kite, Buen Hombre ocean and beaches are absolutely beautiful, always windy & warm (no wet suit!!) but what keeps me coming back is the great people who own this camp!! Riin and Micky will make sure you are taken care of 100%, they have family style dinners where you can have great conversation with people from all over the world, and as a beach lover myself- this is the most beautiful and friendly beach I have ever visited. If you want to learn how to kite, or if you're an experienced kiter looking for a beautiful destination for your next kite trip, this is it!!! All around great vibes I love this place :)

The only expectation I had for going was "oh my god let there be sun" and there was but also much else. Starting with sleeping in a bungalow where I got the best sleep, falling asleep to sounds of the ocean. Waking up the table was filled with delicious and fresh food. Also in the evening. Even if you need some special food, they will make it happen. The people- Riin & Miky, Helen, Sergio and everyone else were so welcoming and made the stay so easy. Kiteing is obviously the main activity but I also did paddleboarding, which was so fun! Already missing the sweetest doggos- Lucky, Rocky, Pepe and Shaka 🥰 I truly enjoyed every moment there. Especially the chilling in the hammocks and swimming in the ocean 😅 Definitely a place everyone should have on their bucket list.

I had the most amazing time with Kite Buen Hombre. I stayed with them in one of their bungalows overlooking the sea. It felt like I had stepped into the kiters paradise that you only ever hear of but never dream of seeing. Buen Hombre is a beautiful quiet kiters spot perfect for beginners and advanced kiters alike. Kite Buen Hombre took such good care of me. As a solo women traveller they took me under their wing and made me feel so at home there I didn’t want to leave. Your happiness and well-being is their top priority. I’m a vegan and they made sure that there was always a proper meal waiting for me at breakfast and dinner. The kite school is really well managed and has a great supportive atmosphere. I took an advanced lesson from their head instructor Micky in how to jump. And in 20 minutes I was landing my jumps. He is an incredible teacher and I could not recommend him enough, I have seen him put smiles on beginners and intermediate kiters. Cabarete is a super cool place to kite, but to be able to kite in strong winds, with only a handful of kites on the water and with multiple downwinder options. Buen Hombre wins every time. Definitely would recommend Kite Buen Hombre again and again. Big shout out to Helen, Riin & Eva for creating the experience.
