The trip was awesome! The boat ride to the island was a blast. The island was tiny but big on fun and snorkeling. The water was crystal clear and beautiful fish out from the beach around the reef. Went through the mangroves on the way back and it was absolutely amazing!!! I've never seen anything like it. If I had to complain about anything it would be that the bus ride to get to the boat that took us took a couple hours there and a couple hours back. It was well worth every penny we spent.

We had a fantastic excursion. It was easy to find the bus from the cruise port - only a 15 minute walk away - and even though we didn’t realize we were arriving in a different time zone that was an hour ahead of the cruise ship time, DR Tours completely accommodated our party of 9 by pushing our time ahead an hour. The walk was a bit long because of the number of people on the trail - but once we arrived at the waterfalls, it was exhilarating and fun, so well worth the slow walk uphill. We were travelling with four teenagers and they thought it was an amazing adventure. The guides were great and we felt very safe. It was a highlight of the cruise.

We were early to the pick up point. FYI, it’s a loooong walk from the ship. Plan accordingly. 20min. The meeting spot is literally in the parking lot of the police station. That was kinda cool. Hung out and waited. Unfortunately, we were late leaving to get started. It resulted in being late later in the day. But not all because of this. We got to the spot for the hike and falls, and we waited and waited for other groups to walk with us AND to complete their slide thru the falls. We didn’t see a need to have to wait so long. BUT THIS made us late getting back. The lunch is FANTASTIC!!! We also had the paparazzi do our pics for the excursion. They came out great!!! Def recommend that part. But, they will hit you up for $65 when other posts show they got them for $50. That’s what we paid, $50. It’s all about timing. Getting there and getting started. If you have an early back on ship time between 3-3:30, you’re pressing yourself. Which is unfortunate. Shouldn’t have to feel that way. Overall, they did a good job. Just not 5 star worthy this time.

This was perfect for an adventurous family. There were two slides and one jump. You could walk down stairs for that one though. The lines were pretty long, but the guide Jonathan was fun to talk to! The lunch after was amazing! Definitely recommend.

Everything was amazing!!! Darleni our driving went above and beyond. She made us feel so safe as we were a group of 4 college girls. I can’t say enough good things about her. She even stopped on our way back to the hotel to take a picture at the Puerto Plata sign. Would recommend her to everyone! The waterfalls were also amazing and we went early in the morning so we beat the big crowds. Augusto our guide was phenomenal he was so fun and was so kind to us. He made the hike very enjoyable. Our photographer was also amazing and very kind to us. He would run in front of us so he could get every angle. (Will post the pics once we get home!) The lunch was very delicious and it was great to try local foods. Including some plantain! Overall: AMAZING!!! You will not regret it and they make you feel very safe:)

Excursion was awesome but directions to find were a little hard. Once out of the "Amber Cove" area, go left down the road to the tour buses - ask for DR tours and someone will be there. Probably a 15 minute walk. We waited on a bus then they took us on a short drive to the ATV place. Did a quick test drive then we were on the way. The booking said included DR bandana - we paid $5 for a regular ski mask. We then drove the ATVS up through the jungle. Very easy to drive and guides were helpful. Someone did flip their ATV into the trees, but this was rare and hard to happen. We did not get really dirty, but should've worn crocs/birkenstocks. It was awesome going through the water spots and uphill. We stopped at the 'Jungle' for some refreshments - the coffee, chocolate, and mamajuana drinks were so good. Sampled and bought some cigars. Went back down the same route and had a quick stop at the beach. The video and photos at the end were really cool to see but we did not buy. It was $45 but we just wanted one photo but wasn't allowed. Definitely recommend this tour! The pricing was great for what we got just would've wished there were different photo options and the bandana,

We booked direct with DR Prime Tours. We had such a great experience! DR Prime tours picked us up at our hotel and took care of us. The local meal was fantastic! We had so much fun at Damajagua Falls - one of the funnest things we've ever done & natural - it was stunning - a sweet little gem. Do it, book it - it's a life highlight experience. We were so happy DR Prime Tours had someone with them to take pictures & video - well worth it to keep memories forever.

The waterfalls was great. It was a group of 6 of us and we had a great time. It only took us 5 dominician minutes to get to the top.

William was very helpful after booking and realizing we were an hour away. They made it happen Fernando picked us up and took us to the waterfalls which were amazing we had our own paparazzi Vladimir and the tour guide Julio were great with the experience Fernando was like our personal driver for the remainder of the day we booked time to engage with the monkeys and took pictures it was great I heard if monkeys pee on you it’s good luck😂 then from there we went to the dune buggies and no I wasn’t ready for the MUD BATH but it was a great experience seeing the town and riding to the beach. While we were doing this excursion Fernando was very considerate and went and got my daughter a birthday cake as it was her birthday!!!!!! Fernando is the best and we will never forget this vacation thanks to DRPRIME TOURS and our friends Fernando and William!

Our family of six (including twin 7-year-olds, an 11-year-old, and a 12-year-old) had an absolute blast on this hike and waterslides through the Dominican Republic. This was nothing short of incredible! From three thrilling water slides to an epic cliff jump, the adventure had us all in awe. The best part? The amazing photographer who was there every step of the way, capturing the most stunning photos and videos while we focused on soaking in the experience. We didn’t have to worry about missing a moment—the photographer made sure we could enjoy the adventure without a single distraction. The result was an incredible collection of memories that we’ll cherish forever. My daring kids crushed this adventure, and it quickly became one of their top trips of all time. It was the perfect mix of adventure, nature, and unforgettable family moments!

We had a Great time running through the puddle filled trails through the Dominican countryside. We saw plenty of cows, donkey and a bourse or two. Stayed pretty clean on our atv taking it easy through the water. Ronnie our tour guide kept us safe and upright with his good guidance through the rough spots. Overall a great trip!

Great tour. We were a bit early to the pick up point, but other companies knew where DR would be, and sure enough they were there, and on time. Unfortunately another group was running late, so we waited. But, only a short while, then DR went ahead without them. this is a huge positive in my book. I do not like an entire tour being delayed by slow people, but many operators will delay, fearing a bad review I suppose. DR Prime left, as they should. Great job. Not without still caring though! They left someone to meet that late group, and about an hour later, while on the boat, a small boat pulled along side, and the late group was able to get on board. Perfect solution. Don't impact the on time people, but still try to accommodate the late people. The boat was NOT overcrowded. We saw other party boats at the snorkeling spots. Those boats were jam packed. We had about 20+- people on the boat. It could have easily had another 20, if not more. Lots of room. Snorkeling was not so great. But was not the fault of DR Prime. We were over a reef, and you could make out a lot of fish, but the water was murky due to rougher seas, so the fish were there, but not very visible. At least DR Prime did not require live vests. They were available, and some opted to use them, but not required. The other boats, it seemed everyone had the inflatable snorkel things on - so I presume those others were requiring it. One cannot dive down deep while snorkeling while wearing any flotation device. I do not like, and DRPrime did not require, use of any flotation device - GREAT! Food was also good! I often skip the "lunch" on these types of excursions. And intended to here as well. But others got some, and it looked so good, just had to have it. The pork chop was very very good! Drinks were plentiful, and poured however you wanted. But the vibe was not the excessive party like some I have been on, instead more like a fun backyard cookout with friends, which is to say, fun, laughing, but not drunk college student excessive. Perfect.

Amazing Tour – Highly Recommend! While on a cruise, we decided to skip the overpriced excursions and stumbled upon this gem of a tour—it was worth every penny! From start to finish, it was an incredible experience. We were promptly picked up by a comfortable van at the cruise port. Our driver, William, and tour guide (and paparazzi!), Jonathan, made the day unforgettable. Their energy, professionalism, and knowledge of the area were top-notch. Definitely request them if you can! The tour begins with a short drive where you get a glimpse of the island’s beauty. Once we arrived, we were equipped with life vests and helmets for the adventure. A word of advice: wear sturdy hiking or water shoes. The uphill hike to the zip lines is rocky and somewhat strenuous. My basic water shoes worked, but harder soles would have made it much easier. At the top, we received a thorough safety briefing and were strapped into our zip-lining gear. The staff was incredibly attentive, spoke English fluently, and ensured everyone felt safe. Jonathan, our "paparazzi," followed us throughout the day, capturing fantastic photos and videos. After an exhilarating zipline experience, we made our way to the waterfalls. The crystal-clear water was breathtaking (and cold!). You’re guided down natural slides and even have the option to jump into the pools. My husband doesn’t swim, but the guides were incredibly patient and attentive, assisting him every step of the way. I truly appreciated their kindness and focus on safety. Once we finished, we hiked back to the main area, where a delicious buffet lunch awaited us. The spread included rice and beans, fried fish, chicken, pasta, potato salad, and avocado. As someone who loves cooking, I have to say—the beans were amazing, even better than my own! After lunch, we visited a plantation to see how coffee is made, cigars are rolled, and we even sampled Dominican mamajuana. They offered free cigar samples and shots, and we had time to browse their store without feeling rushed or pressured to buy anything. The day wrapped up with a scenic tour of Puerto Plata’s highlights before we were dropped off at the cruise port, well before our departure time. At the end of the tour, you’re given the option to purchase photos and videos from Jonathan. The link was sent to us within 24-36 hours and was worth every penny—over 100 pictures and an amazing video with music, perfectly capturing the day. A few tips for anyone considering this tour: 1. Wear sturdy hiking or water shoes. 2. Bring cash or have access to Apple Pay or PayPal for tips and purchases. 3. Come ready to have a great time! Overall, this experience far exceeded our expectations. Huge thanks to William and Jonathan for making this an adventure we’ll never forget. We can’t wait to share the incredible photos and videos with our family and friends!

Way too many step on an incline. We walked up hill for about an hour. Guides were great. They wanted to charge $65 for photos. You can not take a camera of your own. Lunch was great.
