    What to Expect
Excursions start generally at 9.00 am, unless special excursions are scheduled. Meeting time is 30 minutes prior to departure. Your equipment will be prepared for you and put on board. Cruising time to the Dive Sites is between 10 and 45 minutes. After the first dive, a surface interval of approx. one hour and refreshment, you will get ready for the 2nd dive at a different location. Once back in the Dive Center, equipment will be rinsed and stored. There’s a variety of dives on Grenada, sheltered coral gardens, exciting drift dives and many wrecks, as the Bianca C. for example.

Flamingo Bay is a big, protected bay - already at just a few meters below the surface you will be finding an extraordinary reef, a huge variety of corals in all different colors and numerous species of fish. From there you are going to the Underwater Sculpture Park, “ The first of its kind " created by the English artist Jason Taylor. This place gives you a view of a different world. In shallow water you will be spotting many different, interesting sculptures - art in harmony with the environment. Between the two dive/snorkeling sites you will be served water, fruit juice and popcorn. If you are a keen wreck diver, no problem. You can access wrecks in shallow and also deeper water, like Veronica L or Shakem.

The dive sites are located off the beach of the Calabash Hotel, which nestles in the sheltered waters of Prickly Bay on the southern coast of the island. The hotel’s jetty makes access to the dive boat easy and the location means that dive sites both on the Atlantic and Caribbean sides of the island are within easy reach. On Grenada all excursions are done by boat. Nitrox is available and free of charge for all certified Nitrox divers.

Grenada has some of the best diving in the Caribbean. The fish and other sea life are amazingly abundant. This was my third diving visit to Grenada and second to ScubaTech. If you want a dive operator with an over-crowded boat, and one that puts...More
