Contrary to many of these reviews, we loved our day trip to El Yunque and Luquillo--it was one of the highlights of our trip. They picked us up at a hotel across the street from ours, which was no inconvenience, and were on time. We did stop at the fruit stand to use the

Thank you for your comments. As this was the tour guide's first rainforest tour, we appreciate your grace being extended as we have all been through the experience of a first day on the job flying solo. The Rainforest is managed by the US National Park Service, and as it is on our Eastern coast, it receives most of the rain in the area during this season. This coupled with the damage still being felt by Hurricane Maria has caused the authorities to close the main trails we access on our tours, due to landslides, fallen trees, and unsafe river conditions. We are very fortunate that we are one of the very few companies that have exclusive access to another trail for our tours. We understand that aspects of the island's tours are not for everyone. We sincerely appreciate your comments as we work to make our tours and excursions better each time. We hope you will return to us when El Yunque is more recovered as it is an unbeatable experience. Thank you!

We were really excited to see the El Yunque Rainforest and Luquillo Beach, but both were very underwhelming. The tiny part of the rainforest this company took us to was not the typical area where other company's take tourists. First, we were picked up from our hotel near Isla

Thank you, Christine G, for your review. We apologize for any confusion. We, as all of our fellow tourism operators, list our pick up time as beginning at 10 am. Our pickups take between 45 minutes to an hour to complete as it isn't possible to be at every hotel at the same moment. Guests are then notified by the driver when he/she is on the way. We tour companies do our best to keep to a schedule for hotels and pick up locations, but again, exact times for each hotel are approximate. We want the guest to be ready as not to miss the bus or cause delays. However, traffic conditions are not in our control. The convenience stop is a courtesy as most of our national rainforest is still closed to the public along with its snack shops, due to landslides, dangerous/unsafe river conditions, and fallen trees. However, we will advise the proprietor of the local shop to address the cleanliness of their restrooms. The US Federal Government manages the Rainforest. It is on our Eastern coast, and it receives most of the rain in the area during this season. Trees with damage still being felt by Hurricane Maria has caused the authorities to close the main trails we access on our tours. We are very fortunate that we are one of the very few companies that have exclusive access to another path for our tours. Luquillo beach is one of our famous beaches that tourists like to visit. The beach has kiosks for food and drink, restrooms, freshwater showers, and secured lockers. The beach also spans for miles. Although guests aren't able to walk to the full breadth and fulness of Luquillo, there are areas people can enjoy just down the beach that is more secluded, away from the crowd.

We were really excited for this tour, but unfortunately it was very UNDERWHELMING (especially if you have had amazing rainforest/waterfall experiences in other countries) Firstly expect to be in the van more than not. First stop to get water/snacks- make sure you have bug spray

Thank you for your review monarca826. We truly appreciate the opportunity to better our tours where we can. It is general knowledge that mosquitos live in the tropics, especially near the beaches where it is most humid. For this reason, most guests are prepared with bug spray. This is suggested on many of our tours on our website. However, we thank you for bringing it to our attention and we will immediately rectify this by adding bug repellent to the list of "What to Bring" on our page for this tour. It is always helpful to remind our guests of these things so they have the most comfortable experience. We are sorry you feel you were not able to enjoy your time at Luquillo Beach. We understand that people may have preferences, however, it is one of our famous beaches that most people flock to see and enjoy. It is an experience most guests find fulfilling. The time spent there has always remained 1.5 hours, giving guests ample time to eat and enjoy the area. We understand however that some guests want a longer excursion, unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate the few. For this, we do offer private tours to satisfy more unique and personalized requests. The Rainforest is managed by the National Park Service (NPS) is an agency of the United States federal government, and as it is on our Eastern coast, it receives most of the rain in the area during this season. This coupled with the damage still being felt by Hurricane Maria has caused the authorities to close the main trails we access on our tours (which are all paved) due to landslides, fallen trees, and unsafe river conditions. We are very fortunate that we are one of the very few companies that have exclusive access to another trail for our tours. We appreciate you taking Mother Nature into consideration when writing your reviews. Safety is and must remain to be our #1 priority for our guests. We are determined to continue making our tours better each day and we hope you will visit El Yunque with us again when other parts of the forest are reopened. Thank you again.
