We appreciate the time you took to write in and would like to address both parts of your review, first and foremost the disembarkation and the latter pricing. We hope our in depth response will allow you and potential customers an opportunity to understand process and pricing. Our Captain Miguel is very experienced and handles the boat very well. In fact what you experienced was for safety and nothing to do with a tip. Our boat goes to the shore line to pick up and drop off. Currents and waves can be present. Miguel reversed with thrust as a wave had come and he ensured the boat did not move forward towards the people disembarking which at the time was your son. This was standard safety procedure to ensure our guests in front of boat not being hit by the wave pushing the boat onto shore. Passengers are also instructed to disembark facing the ladder as well to ensure ease/stability as well as awareness. While I can appreciate how the noise of the engine revving up and moving back might sound/ feel unnatural- Miguel was stabilizing the vessel- for safety only. The ladder is very close to the ground as well. Regarding your comments on price. Originally you were booked with another boat and they had cancelled and the vendor indicated another company could come. Vendors and Companies may charge similar amounts. Some will indicate different flight times to get sales or the promise of a dolphin sighting. We encourage our guests to book directly with us or online. Our product is priced competitively based on our operation and what we offer onboard. While the previous Company may have been cheaper we have no way of knowing that and when you were booked you were booked at our direct rate. Miguel was not arguing he was simply explaining that our price was what vendor who put you on boat indicated even though that may have been different from the Company that had cancelled on you. Lastly, regarding your comment of you only giving a small tip and perhaps Miguel had done this on purpose. Miguel loves kids- they are his absolute favourite, we have a huge percentage of return customers for this very reason. He is a father of three himself and would never act in this way. Again, what was experienced was for safety. Our crew are on salary and while appreciate a tip they do not rely nor do they expect tips. Some Companies pay staff for how many people they fly or only days worked- our crew are not- we are salary based. We pride ourselves for our crew to be able to give the safest, best Parasailing experience on the island without any pressure. In closing, I am happy that you did enjoy the Parasailing and view- it is truly a spectacular one. Thanks again for writing in and for choosing Turks and Caicos- beautiful by nature.

Thanks for writing in Brendan, as explained to you prior to the boat leaving the beach ; The three of you boarded and indicated only one person was flying. The crew informed you they could waive one observer fee but would have to charge for the other($20 observer fee). We realize the vendor did not let you know and the crew apologized for that but the crew did speak with you prior to leaving and you said sure no problem. I am glad they took it upon themselves to waive one of you observing and to note we only take so many observers as parasailers are a priority in terms of vessel capacity. The boat then left the beach and the crew proceeded to get the flyers ready at that time. They were not annoyed in any way, they had just comped an observer gladly as customers are paramount - we love them! Our flights are timed and can assure you that the proper time was allotted and was not an issue at the time of your excursion.
