About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 689dominickc0 contributionsDidn’t get what we paid forFirst of all Kenneth was a true gentleman, Kenneth’s taxi. The guys was great. However, I originally booked for 1:30 PM, and they called and asked if I could do 9:00 AM. I could not, and then I received an email that said 12:20 PM. We could do that. We arrived and Kenneth met us promptly at 12:20, again a great guy. The tour was good, but ended an hour early. So we paid for a half day tour and only received 2 hours. Buyer beware. I hope that TripAdvisor makes it right. I would say if you do go to St John’s see out Kenneth’s taxi. Down to earth, great guy!Written May 1, 2024
- marlowel20240 contributionsWonderful day on St John IslandBeautiful views. Learned about the St John's history. Had a great time and a great tour guide. Would recommend this to others.Written April 28, 2024
- Resort5499850 contributionsJust a job tour driverDriver was located in cab Tourists in back with no communication with no commentary. A taxi would have given more. Felt rushed through.Written April 1, 2024
- TXMama40 contributionsFun, active beach with lots to do!Awesome, active beach with tons to do. Play Volleyball, rent umbrellas & chairs, rent jet-skis, or eat at the restaurant. The beach had soft sand but the drop-off in the ocean is fairly steep and close to shore, so I wouldn't recommend it for young kids. Also the underwater area has lots of rocks so it can be hard to walk. But if you want to be around people and watch people having fun, this is a great beach to do it!Written March 28, 2024
- LindaMJS0 contributionsNot happyWe were super excited for this particular tour off of our cruise ship. We were at the designated pick up time and location, but our driver was not there. We were left high and dry, and missed our tour altogether. Be mindful, who you book with and do your research. I contacted the company on my return home, but they refused to refund.Written March 20, 2024
- kellyeZ2440CJ0 contributionsDisappointedIt wasn’t a bad tour. It was very informative but he took too much time sharing about “other thing”. We spent what seem like 10 minutes in an abandoned parking lot of the shut down hospital listening to stories. We spent 10 minutes, looking at Epstein’s island and hearing stories. We spent what seemed like 10 minutes, looking at a police station hearing more stories. We thought we were going to see a number of beaches and actually step on the beach and we never got close to sand.Written March 19, 2024
- NorthStar383423869830 contributionsTour around St. John.Kenneth was great, very knowledgeable, and shared with us a lot of information as he took us around the island. We enjoyed the stop at the Sugar Plantation. Make sure you stop at Bake Shop, free samples are provided. The views of the beaches were great. However, it would have been nice to actually stop at one, though not included in the tour. We did not stop for the hour at the national park, indicated as part of the tour was very disappointing.Written March 13, 2024
- denisejF9511BM0 contributionsInformative but…The views of the island were wonderful and Kenneth provided a wealth of information. He clearly cares about his home. Unfortunately he was also very rude to me and other random people. I would not choose a trip with him as the driver again.Written February 16, 2024
- 725nancywill0 contributionsInformative and historical tour guide. The driver, Kenneth had an interesting background and told stories that made the tour exciting. He shared facts about the inhabitants and history. We enjoyed our tour very much!Written January 24, 2024
- Danielle T0 contributionsWonderful and informative time was had!We had a lovely tour of the Island with Kenneth, our tour guide. He shared a lot of interesting information and facts about the Island, surrounding Islands and its history. I would highly recommend this tour. You’ll get a lot of GREAT pictures and information.Written January 7, 2024
- MichaelM194440 contributionsGood tour but expensiveWe wanted to take the tour on our 1st full day on the island and Owen was great on taking us to all the spots we wanted to see and more. I would strongly suggest ignoring the itinerary portion of the tour and working with your guide on the best tour for you as this is an expensive tour. For two people after the initial expense of the tour, feeding the pig ( we didn’t do it) which we wanted no part of but felt obligated by the rudeness of the restaurant to order something (pancakes) beyond the fruit punch we were going to order, the vodka distillery (really worth doing) the botanical garden (great) and the tip that Owen absolutely deserved, the day was approaching $400 for us. Loved the tour but that is a very big number for a tour of the island for 2 people.Written December 24, 2023
- ashleydamico0 contributionsGreat way to see St. JohnWe loved our tour with Kenneth last week. He shared a ton of great information about St. John and the surrounding islands and made several stops where we could get out and take pictures. It was an awesome way to see a lot in a short amount of time (about 1.5 - 2 hours). Highly recommend!Written December 20, 2023

- R4228GHjulies0 contributionsGreat for the priceGreat experience for the price! Kenneth was great, really personalized our trip. He gave us plenty of time to explore the ruins, took pics of is at all the stops, and shared stories and history of the islands.Written September 16, 2023
- GaryH3530 contributionsDisappointing, tour was for 1/2 day and lasted about 1/4 day.Fairly disappointing overall. This was supposed to be a 1/2 day tour that lasted about 2 hours. Left on Red Hook ferry @ 9AM got to Cruz Bay about 9:20 AM and started the tour. Kenneth the driver was very friendly and knowledgeable, but this tour included my wife and I, neither of use whom swim or snorkel and a group of 6 that planned on doing that. Kenneth told us he would be dropping that group off at Trunk Bay so they could have time there and then take us back to the Ferry terminal where we could shop and eat. Should have known this to start but arrival on St. John was the first we knew of that. In addition to the tour group, Kenneth let another woman ride with us and took us to the Health Center to drop her off to see her husband. Don’t believe that was planned on the tour. Stopped at Annaberg Sugar Plantation for about 15 minutes and briefly at the entrance to the Virgin Island National Park. Once we stopped on side of road briefly to see British Virgin Islands. Drove by several pretty beaches, finally stopping at about 11;15AM at Trunk Bay where the other 6 members of our tour got out. We were then taken back to the Ferry location about 11:30 and told we should plan on meeting the others for the 3PM Ferry back to St. Thomas. In no way does this equate to a 1/2 day. While some of the information was interesting and scenery was beautiful this was disappointing. In addition to these issues this tour is only available with a minimum of 3 participants per reservation. THe tour was priced reasonably I felt so went ahead and made reservation for 3 even though only 2 would be attending. Sort of bad to have to pay for 3 when only 2 were going and there were already 6 other people on the tour.Written June 21, 2023

It was an okay tour, but I expected to see more of the cultural aspects of the island. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.
We toured an old sugar cane plantation and spent time on the beach. The rest of the tour was just riding around the perimeter of the island looking at the beaches from a distance.
I would have liked to have seen the town and get a sense of the culture there even though it’s a small island.
Since we had to pay for our own ferry ride from St. Thomas, I really don’t think the price was worth what we did.

Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. We're glad you found your tour guide friendly and knowledgeable and enjoyed visiting the sugar cane plantation and spending time on the beach. However, we’re sorry to hear that the experience didn’t fully meet your expectations, especially regarding the island's cultural aspects and the tour's overall value.
Your input is incredibly valuable, and we’ll make sure to pass along your suggestions to improve future tours, perhaps by incorporating more stops in town and cultural highlights. We truly appreciate your perspective and hope that, despite these points, you were still able to take away some memorable moments from your visit. 🌴

Beautiful place, very punctual with everything, it is important to note that we were informed that the hospital has not functioned since a hurricane a few months ago. Just basic care. They should attend to the issue so that more tourism like us decide to come back and stay longer! Message to the governors! The place is a paradise! Thank you!!!

Kenneth is such a knowledgeable and resourceful tour guide! We learned so much of the history of St. John while driving around while enjoying the breathtaking views of the island. Got to take a swim at Trunk Bay. Beach is beautiful! Kenneth made this trip really enjoyable. I would definitely request Kenneth as a tour guide again! Thanks Kenneth for a beautiful day!

We were on a cruise that stopped for the day in St. Thomas. We booked the tour to St. John. While waiting to depart the ship the tour guide called me and told me if I wasn't there in 5 minutes he was leaving without me. Strike one. Then we run to the meeting spot and get on the bus to go to the Ferry to St. John. It was a very long ride with a driver who I am sure lived under a bridge somewhere. We paid the money for the Ferry and that part was ok. It was a short ride to St. John on a nice day. Once we docked in St. John a different driver met us and it went WAY DOWNHILL from there. He was very unfriendly and it felt like any minute we were going to be taken hostage. Of course we weren't but that was the vibe. He stopped the bus and made a very big deal of grilling us on whether or not we were US Citizens and if we weren't there would be trouble. It was creepy. The sugar plantation turned out to be a small stone wall overgrown with weeds. I would never recommend this tour to anyone.

Kitten24 we take our customers reviews very seriously, unfortunately your review is filled with insult and serious slander. I hope the individuals who take the time to read your review can see through this hateful racist rant. You post "Strike one." The driver said you have five minutes to get to the tour. You forgot to mention you were late for the pickup. All the other passengers had arrived for the tour. You being late was an inconvenience to the other guests who showed up on time. To make a statement about driver living under a bridge was nasty and says more about you than the driver. Your suggestion that a possible kidnapping of you could take place in St. John is absurd. Kenneth your driver guide is a retired police officer, which makes your comment even more ludicrous. What exactly is this kidnapping vibe you are speaking of? I can only imagine you coming to the Caribbean was a shock. To see that the majority of its inhabitants don't look like you. Is that vibe?? Annaberge Sugar Plantation Ruin is a18th-century historical landmark, with breath taking views, not just weeds as you discribe it. Lastly, our driver in St. John was not born in the United States as with about 40% of the people who live in the US Virgin Islands. There is no bias here, our goal is to provide top rated experiences for our guests by showing, them beautiful beaches, scenic views and local culture.

We all know that if you’re on a cruise ship you have a time schedule i booked a tour with this company to go from St Thomas to St John’s. Tour was supposed to be from 9 AM-1 PM all aboard time for Princess was 4:30 PM. We was not put back on the Ferry from ST John’s until 3:00PM with a 20 minute ferry ride and a 30 minute bus ride back to the port! I was not happy about this but when I contacted the company I was called a racist, and a liar! They also claimed that Princess changed the port time which they did NOT! Was the same time when I booked the cruise! As you can read from the other complaints it’s never their fault! So learn from my mistake and read the reviews especially if your arriving by cruise ship!! I will attach my receipt for the tour in the pictures

Greetings Annette,
We are a company that respects all our clients, we appreciate our clients choosing us to provide experiences for them. We provide a stress-free excursion for our clients. You arrived back to the ship 30 minutes before all aboard time, so not sure why you are not happy? Unfortunately, some clients don't read the booking information, their emails, or follow instructions. In twenty-five years of business and proving thousands of excursions, we have never missed a cruise ship, all aboard time. Cruise ship passengers can rest easily, they will return to the ship on time. This is verifid. You will read no reviews from clients saying they missed the ship. Unfortunately, some clients like yourself do not read or follow instructions, so there is a misunderstanding. In your case the original ship schedule was scheduled for arrival at 9:00 am, this is the official information we received from the West Indian Dock schedule. You may google it, since we are being questioned about our truthfulness. We adjusted your pick-up based on posted arrival time. In regards to company calling you any disparaging names we did not, our driver made a complaint to the company about your mistreatment of him. We simply did an investigation. Which consisted of questions.

This was a great excursion. We boarded the Island Lady ferry for about a 35 minute ride from St. Thomas to St. John. The ride was full of fun facts and stories about the islands. Waters were pretty rough, due to a small storm cell. We willingly got soaked with rain and spray on the lower front of the ferry. The crew was so nice, fun and easy to understand. They sell pop, water, local beer, chips, hotdogs and tee shirt on the ferry.
Once on St. John, we boarded a shuttle that took us to Trunk Bay. The roads are narrow and steep; scenery was green and lush. The most beautiful waters I’ve ever seen. The shuttle driver made a few stops for photos and told us about the history of the island as we drove.
Once at Trunk Beech, we were escorted to the beach where they gave us detailed instructions on the snorkel trail and snorkeling. We got our equipment and hit the water. The goggles leaked so I used my own without a snorkel. The water is like 16 feet deep. I recommend a life vest so you don’t have to exert yourself. Fins and a lot of motion scare the fish. We saw a lot of fish and creatures, nothing super crazy or huge.
The ferry ride back seemed longer. The top deck surprisingly did not get a nice breeze unless you were on the front-sides.
Sand is silky smooth, most beautiful beech I’ve been on. There are no chairs or umbrellas available. Would have been nice to stay longer than 2 hours.

Hopping off our cruise ship at St. Thomas (3rd time) we took the scenic cruise and self guided tour of St. John's. The islands have suffered several hurricanes the past few years and have struggled to get back on their feet. The scenic cruise was beautiful (30 minutes) but there is little to do on your own when arriving at Cruz Bay. Swim, snorkel and have a cocktail and you're ready to get back on the boat to St, Thomas. Beautiful location!

Staying in St. Thomas for the week and opted for this day trip. We were provided with personal phone numbers for our driver in both locations. Ahmed and Kenneth were both excellent drivers, personal and professional, with a lot of great local information. Beautiful beach in St John. Only disappointment was that we did not see more of the island itself, only one side. Trip consisted of a couple of stops overlooking beautiful bays and a drive to Annenburg sugar mill ruins and then to beach. Probably could do the same trip on your own for half the price.

Hi Chris, We are happy you enjoyed your tour with Ahmed and Kenneth. Thank you for your kind review. Our drivers are local expert on island life. They enjoy sharing our islands with our visitors. Most guest want the time to enjoy world class beaches St. John offers so we don't do both side of this island on this tour. We do offer a full island tour of St. John which allows more island viewing. Yes, you can do the tour on your own, not for half the price, but individuals who do so put themselves at risk of encountering unsafe and unrepeatable individuals.
As you stated our drivers are professionals and our company is both licenses and insured, a requirement to be apart of TripAdvisor.
Thank you again for the positive review.

I was trying to book the tour. I’m coming in on the Harmony of the Seas cruise ship. Undoubtedly, all I know about where we dock is that it is at Charlotte Amalie. Then, when I tried to book, the site wouldn’t let me advance without identifying which hotel I was staying at. I’m not staying at a hotel! I really want to do this tour. But, need help booking it. Can someone please offer me guidance?
