The tour was very informative and historical, which my friend and I appreciated. We booked the tour through Trip Advisor rather than our cruise line as the price was considerably less expensive. When booking through Trip Advisor, be sure to contact the company to double check meeting area/pick up. There is a lot of construction going on at the cruise port so it made it difficult to find where we were being picked up as there were no signs. Unfortunately, the guide was almost 30 minutes late picking us up at the port due to other passengers being picked up at their hotels. The last two rows of the jeep are not roomy and are difficult to get in and out of but that was the only negative about the tour itself. Our guide, Matthew, was excellent and provided great information about each of our visits. This is a highly recommended tour!

We had a great time seeing the local culture. Kip was the best tour guide and helped my mom(who has mobility issues) in and out every time: he tailored the trip to meet the wants of our group. Would recommend to anyone wanting to see most of Nassau in a single afternoon. Would recommend to everyone of all ages!!!

Booking privately and not through a cruise line is always cheaper. Bernard arrived on time. We were a group of 6 people and hoping that we had the jeep on our own but there was another couple who had to climb into the back on steps. You get to see the island and learn from the guide a lot about the history of Nassau. Stopped for some cake tasting, rum tasting and a spot of lunch which was delicious, I could of eaten a whole bucket of the chicken. We all agreed it was fun and enough time after to browse the shops and get back on the boat.

This tour is nothing more than an exercise in separating you from your money. Although, the guide says there is no pressure to buy, every stop was nothing more than a tourist trap. From the Junkaroo festival (one man in a costume and a kid banging a drum), and exploring the living museum which contained costumes from the yearly parade (think Rio carnival on a much smaller scale), it was hot and stuffy in the room with costumes. The free samples of rum that were promised were actually a thimble full of pina colada. One per sweaty customer please! The actual rum samples were $3 a shot! The Junkaroo festival consumed so much of the tour time, we really didn't see anything else of the city. Only the traps to sell us tea at a price of $15 - $24 for 10 tea bags with claims that their teas will cure everything from anxiety to cancer! The fish fry was three items (only two per person). A tasty chicken wing, a poor conch fritter, and a tiny strip of fish (two per person)!
Our guide and driver, Leon, was enthusiastic, happy, and proud of his heritage. He made this tour as enjoyable as possible. However, it was not enough to camouflage the true intent of this overpriced tour.

Thank you for your comments. We are sorry that our tour did not meet your personal expectations. We pride ourselves on a providing a historical and cultural glimpse into the City of Nassau which is enjoyed by the overwhelming majority of our guests.

My second time taking a tour through Nassau, thought for sure this would be different. Unfortunately we were taken to the rum cake store to be robbed once again, don’t get me wrong the cake is good, but you feel harassed to buy their grossly overpriced products in the store.

That was the good part of the trip, once you leave this location the tour continues with stops at several locations that are not nice at all. And worse you’re pressured into buying more overpriced items, not to mention we felt completely unsafe taking the tour, the roads are in disrepair, and those driving, to include our guide drive unsafe and very erratic!!!! Not safe, feared for our safety during drive, felt harassed into making purchases we did not want. The one thing I can say is the people seem very kind and friendly, even those not selling you something!!!

I booked this tour especially for the Caves and Shell chair visit, and didn’t get taken there. I was told the tour doesn’t have time to stop there as it’s too far out, yet it is included in the tour description. The places visited are free entrance to everyone and easily walkable in Nassau. We spent more time in the places they take you to purchase things than we did seeing the sights. They provide you with a very light lunch at Fish Fry which is very tasty, but it isn’t enough for the number of people in the group, and we hardly got anything between us all. My three stars are for Tamar as he was fantastic at his job and very knowledgable. Unfortunately I had to request partial refund for the parts we didn’t get that were on the itinerary.

I was so excited for this tour. I can't believe how disappointing it was. And I can have a good time anywhere.... Half of the stops were mostly all at shopping places which was just exhausting, it was a shopping tour for sure. The worst part though was how LONG we had to wait for everything. After the distillery we had to sit in the grass or chairs in the heat for 40 minutes to wait for the driver. After we finally left we went to junkanoo then to yet again another shopping place, where we sat in the sun for another 25 minutes for the driver to make lunch arrangements for us. After he got that situated we went to the lunch place where we listened to the driver argue with the waitstaff about how he didnt make reservations and they won't be able to get us food. After they settled their arguement we again SAT for another 30 minutes, we were hungry, overheated, THIRSTY and exhausted, we just asked the driver to just take us back to port without lunch. We were on this tour for OVER 4 hours and we had 75% of the tour finished after the first 1.5 hour.... the rest was mostly waiting time. Some of the places we stopped were really cool, I recommend going to the distillery, the tea shop and the Junkanoo museum, but just skip the tour.

The jeep adventure was lots of fun. Leon was very nice and informative. We went to many places, were able to purchase souvenirs, have a taste of Bahamian fried conch, fish and wings. The Pina Colada purchased at the Rum Distillery was so good. It was a rainy day so we didn't get to go to the Queens stairway. I enjoyed listening to the history of Junkanoo at the Museum and the small music parade that we participated in. The best thing about the Jeep Adventure is that it takes you to places that you would not normally visit because they are nestled with Nassau.

What an outstanding way for a first time visitor to get a feel of Nassau, Bahamas. Not only do you aee the sites but get to meet the peolpe, taste the islands' offerings and learn about traditions and customes. Very educational and easy for seniors. Minimal walking and breaks while tasting or visiting the Funkanoo Museum to have some fun.

This was by far the least fun tour we went on while in the Bahamas. I expected it to be fun and exciting, me and my boyfriend felt so rushed the entire time. The tour guides were friendly but the one that was telling us things was talking on a mic that keeping making LOUD frequency noises every minute or so and we could not understand her one bit. Also we didn’t even get to really see the forts they were closed? I know this is their faults but it also rained at one point and we had to sit in the wet seats for a while. There was no music or anything fun really in my opinion, save your money and do something actually fun!!!!
