La Bufadora Tour in Baja California

    What to Expect
After midmorning pickup, travel with your guide about 24 miles (39 km) south of Ensenada to the Punta Banda Peninsula. En route, enjoy the passing landscapes of mountains and the Pacific Ocean.

Arrive at La Bufadora, the largest sea geyser in North America. Hear from your guide about how air, trapped in a sea cave, causes water to explode upward, often shooting more than 100 feet (31 meters) above sea level, creating a thunderous noise. Depending on the strength of the waves, this phenomenon repeats about every minute, so you are sure to see La Bufadora in action.

Then, your guide takes you to a popular sidewalk market of handicrafts and souvenirs made in Baja California. Find fun home décor items and gifts here, and then relax with food and drinks at one of the nearby restaurants (own expense) offering stunning views of the ocean.

Your 4-hour tour ends with drop-off back at your hotel.

If the tide level is just right, you get a geyser if water shooting up. If it’s the wrong level, there’s a tiny splash of water and you wonder, I drove all the way out here for this?! If you like touristy trinkets, there are...More

My 73-year-old mother and I booked this tour as an excursion to our cruise. The ride up the narrow mountain road was a little stressful, but the views were incredible. The ocean blow hole was actively spraying water. The vendors were relentless in trying to...More
