Bernardo was an amazing tour guide and showed us such great kindness and hospitality even though we were grouped with an awful family. We were the only couple, while the rest were a family who brought all of their kids in total 10 or so. They had wasted our time trying to figure out where to leave their kids because, guess what, this tour guide is adults only (mixology is in the name of the tour??). But Bernardo was very patient and professional with them the whole time, telling us detailed stories with great fun and passion, and we had the best time trying so many delicious tacos! And drinks! We felt like our money was well spent despite the small hiccups, and we’ll definitely visit all the places we tried when we come back to PV.

Highly recommend this as an early part of anyone's trip as you both have delicious meals and a sense of the amazing city. We had a wonderful evening with Edgar who went out of his way to make everyone feel like family and by the time we wrapped up the tour at Zapata Antojeria y Bar many of our group stuck around to keep the evening going. Great time!

Did the Food/Dink Tour and it was fantastic! Bernardo was so accommodating, friendly and great guide to have as we toured the city and did several different food and drink tastings. Highly recommend doing if you are looking to try some authentic food and drinks, while also checking out the city. Great experience having Bernardo as our tour guide!

Bernardo was the best! You could tell how much he enjoyed showing us the spots he's identified as being the most authentic, with the most heart and passion for the food and spirits culture in Puerto Vallarta.
It was so nice to start with a DELICIOUS fish taco, and a wonderful cocktail, and so much fun to wander the streets and go to places we never would've known to go to.
Bernardo even ordered us an additional al pastor taco at one spot once he saw how much we were all excited about them! He also hooked it up with warm churros from a stand that he ordered 45-ish minutes in advance so they were ready when we came out of our Raicilla tasting spot. Just so cool and thoughtful!
My fiancé shared how he thought it'd be cool to see the sunset, so Bernardo got our last cocktail "to-go" and we ended our tour on the sand watching the sunset together. Thanks so much for offering this tour, would definitely do this one again if not another one of the Vallarta Food Tours.
Can't recommend enough!

We had a large group of 16 women attending and I reached out directly to set up a private tour for us. Paul called me and worked on setting up a tour for us AND helped us with private transport to not only this excursion but a different excursion from another company later that week. The whole process of setting up the excursion and payments was easy and straight forward. But then the tour finally came and it was AMAZING!!! They split our group into two with guides Sylvia and Miel and they were both so nice and informative and FUN. There were a ton of drinks and food and we learned so much more about the area and culture than if we stayed on the resort. I 100% recommend using this company, I could not give one ounce of negative feedback. They were all really helpful from the very start and you can tell everyone took pride in the business and in sharing their home with us!

This was a fantastic tour of city and we loved learning about the city and culture through food and drink. We tried so many cocktails and food that I would not have ordered. Our host Edgar was so incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. He smoothly moved our group of 10 into multiple places and we felt very looked after. I was so impressed with how he knew so many people and how he interacted with everyone. It was a very fun night out and a highlight of our trip !

My wife and I went on a group tour with Gio during our first full day in the city and we couldn't have been happier. Gio was a fantastic tour guide, friendly, articulate, extremely knowledgeable, he answered all our questions (and gave all sorts of recs for the city) as we walked all over la Zona Romantica neighborhood. He kept the tour moving and also smoothly handled a difficult situation when one of our tour members fainted! He helped the family and took ample time for them to recover and get assistance, and then got the tour right back on track.
In terms of the food, it's all delicious and mostly centered on tacos (shrimp, pork, beef) - which ranged from upscale restaurants to insanely good street fare.
The drinks were really interesting and surprised us, a mix of cocktails and more unusual offerings of local agave-based fermented drinks and liquors like raicilla and pulque (so good)! Needless to say, even if you come in thirsty you'll get your fill by the end... There's no skimping on this tour.
We started at 3:30PM and ended at the last bar around 8PM, my wife and I went straight back to the street tacos spot to get another round. I think this tour is a great intro to Puerto Vallarta and will leave you feeling like you know the neighborhood well.

This was possibly one of the best food tours I have ever been on! Silvia Valdés was our tour guide and she CRUSHED IT. As an ex-tour guide myself I always struggle with guided tours feeling authentic or genuine, in Silvia’s case this was not so! She was super enthusiastic, funny, and informative and easy going. Everything you’d want in a local guide and then some.
My fiancé and I had a total blast on this tour. We were lucky that we had a small group of 5 or so, so it felt very cosy and enjoyable. Silvia guided us through the zona romántica and steered us to some of the best food and drinks we had on our entire trip. A few spots we went back to in the days following because we enjoyed it so much.
All in all I can say if you’re going to Puerto Vallarta and not doing a tour like this you would be seriously missing out… who wouldn’t want to know the inside scoop on where to find the best tacos, tequilas, mezcals and pinchos around. We will certainly come back and try another Vallarta Tour again.
Silvia you rock! 🤙🏽

This tour was a must do! We had such a great experience with Sylvia. She is a semi-local and knew so much about the history and shared her love of food and libations with us around her city. We also got to meet some other people from America that were such great company as well.
I’m not a seafood eater and she even made sure to accommodate my preferences when everyone else were given seafood options. Our sense of adventure was challenged with crickets and mezcal shots. We had delicious cocktails as we roamed the city hearing stories. All of the food was incredible. The service was great and staff was inviting and super hospitable at every stop. Highly recommend this trip as it made us feel so comfortable being shown around by a local and getting a feel of the city by foot. Great job, Sylvia. Gracias!! -The Robertsons from Savannah, GA (USA)

This was a wonderful tour! We took the late afternoon/evening tour in mid July 🔥, hot and humid so I recommend dressing appropriately and bringing a hand fan. Addy, our guide, was amazing! Friendly and very informative. The food was fantastic and introduces you to many great spots for food, so do this early on your vacation so you have lots of places to visit during your stay. The drinks were also amazing and you learn so much about tequila and mescal. The walk is easy, but watch your step, there was some uneven pavement. We loved all of it!

Sorry I am not sure how close this is. The bus is safe. Taxis are safe and walking is safe.
My husband needs his wheelchair as walking distances is very difficult for him. Does the mixology able to accommodate us?

I don't think so. The first place was a 2 story.
The roads are cobblestone and hard for a person in a wheelchair
