At the nearby Basilica de Guadalupe, your guide explains the importance of Guadalupe to Mexican history and culture. At Teotihuacan, the ancient “City of the Gods,” a guide is essential to provide context to the unmarked ruins and pyramids. As your guide explains each landmark you pass, learn about the mystery of who may have built the ancient city and why its population suddenly disappeared. I can't say enough good things about this tour and our guide, Veronica, and our driver, Tony. We were very fortunate to get the same guide for 2 days in a row. Veronica was just terrific. Can't say enough good things about her. She went over and above to accommodate us since we were both walking with canes. She taught us things about Mexican history, modern Mexico City, and the sites we signed up for. We learned and experienced so much, I just can't say enough good things. If you're pondering a private tour or not, believe me, this was so well worth the extra price. AND, if you are fortunate enough to get Veronica, you will be very thankful.

Carlos and Christian are an amazing tour guide duo for Mexico City and its surrounding historic sites. As we left Mexico City, we started our day at the El Angel sculpture, stopped by the Palacio de Bellas Artes, glimpsed a view of the Catedral Metropolitana, and visited the Tlatelolco archaeological site.

The tour of Teotihuacan was very educational and interesting, between the pyramids of the Sun and Moon and learning of the migration of people from the Mayans to the Aztecs. The drive to and from the pyramids was smooth, and we had time to stop for lunch at La Higuera before heading to the Basilica de Guadalupe. We marveled at Our Lady of Guadalupe and the vastness of the church, along with visiting the myriad of other churches in the vicinity.

Throughout our trip, Carlos shared his vast knowledge through captivating storytelling, and even joked with us about US idiosyncrasies. He was an immaculate host, and Christian was incredible behind the wheel. We hope we get to do another tour with these two in the near future!

Veronica (our guide) and Luis (driver) took great care of us.
They arrive early in the morning at the hotel for pickup. Veronica is very knowledgeable. We spent all day with her and she took time explaining the history of Mexico and places we visited. This private tour is really worth the money as we get to see Teotihuacan and the Basilica de Guadalupe with great lunch in between. One of our family member forgot a photo print in the van when we ended out tour. They managed to drop off the photo at our hotel the next day. We really appreciate their service and honesty. Highly recommend.

Carlos our Guide was excellent.

Pick up on time, Tour well arranged, including Lunch and travel with clean car, including drinking water for the trip and good driver who made sure Carlos could concentrate on giving us the answers to all question asked.

We clearly could experience how well Carlos knew all the historical elements of both the Azteken and Teotihuacan culture and History.
Highly recommend this guide and the trip to all of you who want to understand a bit more of the Mexican History.

Had a great time! Doing a private tour was definitely worth it! Our guide was super knowledgeable and our driver was always there on time when we needed him! We enjoyed walking and learning about the pyramids and got some great shots! We also learned about the obsidian mines before lunch, yes it’s probably a tourist trap but we really enjoyed it and even purchased two pieces. I like that they gave us certificates with our purchase authenticating the obsidian. Also, the lunch spot we went to had a view of the pyramids!!! We finished the day at the Guadalupe Shrine and it was breathtaking and I learned so much about the culture and religion of the indigenous and the Mexican people. Thank you!

Great tour guide, as a trained Archeologist Brenda was highly informative and friendly. First stop is Tlatelolco then about an hour to a stop at an artisanal spot near the pyramids. It was interesting to see the silver jewelry being made an mezcal agave. Tasting of pulque, tequila and mezcal. The obsidian sculptures and jewelry seemed to be priced fairly if you want to buy them on to the pyramids which are are a must see if in Mexico City. Back to the same artisanal spot for lunch in a nice restaurant The lunch provided is large so we took some food back with us in the cooler the driver ( Victor) provide for ample water. Note the waiter will want a tip as it’s not included. Then about 50 mins to the Guadalupe Basilica which is impressive

I spent the day with Julio visiting these historical sites and I learned so much. He was a great guide - giving enough of the historical information to be interesting but not a lecture. It was also great to have a local navigate it for me and talk about what current day life is like in Mexico City. You can customize the trip as you want however what they planned was amazing. I am still talking about it a few days later. I highly reccomend this tour.

Carlos, our tour guide, was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable and had visual aids to help you understand the significance of the sites we visited. We were able to appreciate the pyramids and the Basilica far more than if we had just gone ourselves. Luis, our driver was also great, with on-point parking and safe driving. The tour also includes a small detour to a agave/obsidian workshop, which was also very informative and interesting. Lunch is included, at a restaurant with a great view of the pyramids!

Our guide, Jovani was incredibly knowledgeable and provided us an insightful education on many aspects of the temples as well as about Mexico City in general. He was also nice as could be! Our driver Monse was courteous and drive safely in her very clean car. Can’t say enough— we really had a great day! Left at 9am, returned to hotel at 430ish.
