We recommend eating a meal before taking this tour, as the mazcal tasting is very generous. They let you sample 5-7 different types of mezcal, as well as sample guacamole with chips and crickets! After that you continue on a walking tour. Arturo, our guide, was very animated and passionate about sharing his vast knowledge of the sport and its history. We walked from the tasting to the arena while stopping a few times along the way to hear facts about Lucha Libre. We loved the masks we got on the tour! The actual show was very entertaining. There was water and beer to purchase, as well as some snacks like chips, mini pizzas, popcorn, and Ramen. The matches were high energy and full of acrobatics. We were very impressed. We were able to follow along, thanks to Arturo’s explanation. Afterwards, he gave us a magnet and ensured we were in an Uber. Very fun experience!

Went on a Friday night tour to the Arena with a former boxer who was able to give us a terrific insight into the profession. We started off with a Mezcal tasting, which included dried crickets (first for us) and 4 different mezcals ranging from 51 - 54%. We then headed off (walking and a bus) to the Lucha Libra, the seats were fabulous so close and right next to where the wrestlers came out. My husband was able to get photos with most of the wrestlers which made his day. The atmosphere of the arena is electric, the show is so much fun, we thoroughly enjoyed the night. Would highly recommend this walking tour.

I just want to say that I was so glad that we booked this tour. Going to a Lucha Libre event was in my bucket list! and our experience was just outstanding. We met our group at Bellas Artes from there, we walk thru the park and we head it to the restaurant for the Mezcal tasting (very interesting and great experience). After that we walked thru all the street food vendors to take a bus to head out to the Arena and it was another awesome experience. Once at the Arena, we head out to our seat and let me tell you, there were amazing, we were able to see the fights in a perfect distance. (make sure that you take cash so you can purchase drinks, food, etc inside the Arena). Overall Arturo our tour guide (ex Luchador) was JUST AMAZING! he explained every detail.

We had a great Lucha Libre experience with Arturo as our guide. He was fun and informative. As a former luchador, he helped us to better understand the history, the showmanship, and the physical work involved in the sport. My husband, teenage daughter, and I all had a blast! It was a fun and very different sort of activity from our usual travel experiences, and I highly recommend.

Our guide was fantastic! The mezcal tasting was informative and fun, they had chips and guacamole and grasshoppers (or yummy bugs of some sort) to snack on during the tasting! Awesome! We walked several blocks to the arena which was enjoyable because I wouldn’t have really walked through that neighborhood otherwise, a nice glimpse of Mexico City you don’t really get as a tourist. We also got our own masks! The wrestling was.... totally wicked! Our seats were really good and the show (match?) was so entertaining and impressive! Those wrestlers are incredibly talented and in fabulous shape. Muscles!! Take this tour, you won’t regret it. It was my favorite activity I did while I was visiting CDMX.

What an amazing experience! After a long day of sightseeing and eating too many tacos, our group of four arrived a little low on energy. Arturo quickly lifted our spirits and was super patient and friendly throughout the night as the mezcal and beer flowed. We learned enough about the ins and outs of Lucha Libre that by the end of the night we were shouting and hollering our support for our respective rudo and tecnico teams.

Definitely a must do in Mexico City.

We are very happy to learn that you recharged energies with us! This is what Lucha Libre (and the mezcal) is about: pure positive energy! Gracias for recommending us to other travelers and for screaming so loud for your favorite luchadores!

I booked this experience with a friend and we both really enjoyed our experience. We were very late to the beginning of the tour because we got our dates wrong but Arturo was very understanding and took the time to catch us up on anything we missed. He was extremely knowledgeable about Lucha Libre and open to us asking additional questions. The fight itself was also a lot of fun and we made a lot of new friends in the group we went with. I would definitely recommend others to book this tour since I believe going with a group is a lot more enjoyable and this one was very well organized and educational.

Arturo, our luchador tour guide was amazing! Good start of the evening was definitely with many different types of mezcal to pregame for the Lucha Libre wresting match. Arturo was very knowledgeable and supplied us with our own mask to take home!! The Lucha Libre match is NOT to be missed on your visit to Mexico City add a couple of Micheladas once you are at the arena to have the “Full” experience. One of the highlights of our trip!!!

+Excellent guide! An actual luchador, very knowledgeable and charismatic in presentation

+Mezcal tasting was superb. Not just downing shots but actually learning about its history, origin and production (+ some small suprises :))

+The lucha libre matches themselves were some of the best entertainment i had in a long time.

An overall great experience, a must see, especially given this price for what you get.
