The cenote was AMAZING and the food was delicious. I really appreciated the guided tour portion of Chichen Itza! I recommend to bring your own masks since they will be needed for waiting in line at Chichen Itza or when you’re getting food at the buffet line or you can just purchase when you exit the bus. I’d also recommend some cash (around USD $3) for the life vest for the cenote or extra for the locker. Keep in mind the conversion rate from pesos to USD. I received change for a $10 USD when I gave them a $20 USD. This was on me since I didn’t know until after I’d left what the conversion rate was. Ivan (our driver) and Alan (our guide) made this trip super great! :)

So informative! The guides are great! The whole experience was amazing. We went with friends and the bus was very comfortable and had a bathroom too. The guide was very attentive to everyone’s needs despite it being a big group and made sure everyone was doing okay in the heat. We loved learning about the Mayan history and culture on the bus trip leading up to seeing the Chichen Itza. It was so cool and he was great at answering all our questions super in depth. It was such a great experience. There isn’t much time for photos after the tour, so make sure you take them while you’re walking around with the guide. Also, make sure to bring lots of pesos during this excursion so you can support the local businesses that are set up in the area! Everything is handmade and the prices are very good compared to buying outside!

After that we went to the cenote and it is beautiful. We were left so speechless! They recommend visiting the cenote first and eating at the buffet after, but we did the opposite since no one was at the buffet when we went and we could use up all the rest of the time for the cenote after the buffet! Trust me in that you’re going to want to spend most of the time swimming instead! Also, you should make sure you buy a waterproof protector for your phone so you can take it inside the cenote with you to take pictures and videos because it is absolutely stunning. I would also buy some water shoes since the stairs leading down to the cenote are steep and slippery!

After that we headed to Valladolid and again, we were blown away by the history and beauty there. If you want free tequila tasting, they offer it at one of the shops that the tour company works with. We also were able to walk around and try some street food in the area like churros! I would recommend buying most of your souvenirs in Chichen Itza since the prices were higher in Valladolid.

Also make sure to bring extra pesos or cash to tip the driver and guides! They work super hard for over 12+ hours doing this tour and this is their living! It honestly goes such a long way for them and they deserve it! The best tour I’ve ever went on!

I would also pack some snacks and drinks with you to have on the bus trip!

The tour was great!! Our tour guide, Luis, was very informative and it was clear as day that he was VERY passionate about what he did.

The bus that came to pick us up came a bit late but the free wifi and the bathroom on on bus made up for it. It was honestly a lot bigger than I thought it’d be, so I had a very comfortable trip to and fro. When I first heard of the 2.5-3 hour trip, I thought it’s feel tedious and boring, but time went way faster than I originally thought!

Luis was honestly hilarious and expertly informed us about his culture and the history of the Mayan people. He also mentioned a lot of helpful tips regarding the Chichén Itzá, like to always bargain when buying souvenirs and to rent an umbrella when it’s sunny (so you don’t get absolutely roasted in the Mexican heat).

The food at the restaurant we went to was pretty good, and the cenote we went to was right next to it so that saved a lot of time. The cenote was honestly breathtaking and I HIGHLY recommend taking a waterproof phone case when going so you can take photos and videos while in the water.

You should know that there IS a tax on go pros at Chichén Itzá, but it’s only a couple of dollars so everything should be fine.

The last place we went to, Valladolid, a little historical town, didn’t have a lot of things to do except take pictures and get some nice food from the nearby stores, like ice cream, coffee, or churros!

We got dropped off at our hotel at around 7:00 pm.

Overall, the tour was very nice and I HIGHLY recommend coming! The views and food were great, but a lot of the fun and information we got came from our amazing tour guide, Luis!! If you’re ever visiting Mexico, this place is an absolute must!! ^^

Impressive historical site of xichen itza. Well preserved and partially restaured. You need to pay 30USD on top for the entry per person. The beating heat unfortunately do not go well together with long lasting explanations from our guide about the site. Getting straighter to the point with key intersesting facts would be enough. After 15min of explanation, half of the group was not focused anymore, in despair research for shadow. (you can rent an umbrella for 60pesos, or bring yours).

Be prepared to be approached by pushy salespeople from the beginning until the very end, who are all selling pretty much the same thing (3-4 stands and you have seen them all). They like to blow in a kind of water pipe, imitating the jaguar roar. it is funny the first and second time, but not anymore after 50.

The 2hours stop at the cenote is also impressive landmark (Cenote Saamal). But managed as a company, which very much remove a part of its charm. You need to pay extra 50pesos for renting a mandatory life jacket, another 50 for a locker. The lunch was inclusive and consists of a buffet (the employees serve you and the waiting line can build up). You need to pay your drinks extra (50-150pesos per drink)

Finally the colonial town of Valladolid, which has a great charm :) you will only get 30min to visit it all...where 2hours would be a reasonable time to enjoy what the city has to offer. And tequila / jewelry salesman will jump at your neck once you are out of the bus.

The visited locations definitely are worth it and deserving 5 stars. The organizators are friendly and knowledgeable, they will encourage you to buy from their specific friends salesperson along the trip.
The personalized Maya calendar is a great idea if you are looking for a nice present (23USD)

An amazing unparalleled experience from top to bottom in no small part due to the engaging guidance from Cesar and the masterful driving from Captain Daniel. Comfortable charter bus ride with A/C and bathroom makes the two hour (three including hotel drop offs) drive go by fast. Cesar loves his job and you can see how his passion for Mayan culture and people translates into his informative, educational, and mindful explanations. He really made Chichen Itza come to life and we left with an even deeper appreciation for the Mayan civilization and their technological advancements. The cenote we visited was a slice of paradise and the lunch was delicious after a refreshing swim - perfect after all the sun. Drinks cost extra but it's worth the $2 USD to try "Monkey Blood" which is lemonade and hibiscus tea (like a tropical Arnold Palmer). Tequila tasting was not really tequila tasting but actually a sampling of various local spirits and liquors that are unique to the region (which is actually way better because we got to taste things that we never even knew existed). Could not recommend this tour more strongly for anyone visiting Cancun - I wish that Cesar could lead every tour that I'll ever go on. Come for the info, stay for the jokes. Absolutely stellar service - thank you so much, Cesar and Daniel!

I loved it! If you get Rey and Julio, you will be in the best hands. They were so amicable, funny, detailed, and knowledgeable. We were given a verbal itinerary at the beginning of the trip and updates as the day went by. We were actually surprised by the great time management, snd enjoyed all the activities within a reasonable time. Basically each stop is broken down into a guided part and free time. 100% bilingual. They also allow you to get a water bottle once you first get off of the bus. (Take one).
I do want to add that you will need extra cash for you entrance fee to Chichen Itza, to get a locker and life vest for the cenote (mandatory for the life vest), and if you choose to get an alcoholic beverage for lunch, you will pay extra for that as well. They require a mask for the entrance portion to Chichen Itza and while you get food for lunch as well. Other than that you can be mask free.

The trip was great. Tino our guide was brilliant and really funny, keeping the energy despite the early morning start! He also gave us all the history and important info for Chichen Itsa before we left the bus which was great as it meant less explanation when we were inside (as it was very hot even in November - he found shady spots for explanations where he could). We had another 1 hour guiding with more explanation and demonstrations of the various buildings and carvings and then 1 hour to ourselves to walk around which was perfect.
We then went to the Cenote, really good organisation with changing rooms and decent steps with handrails down to the Cenote (have to hire lifejacket and lockers for 50 pesos each as per other reviews). Lunch ok. The village was nice but mainly time for tourist shopping as not too much to see.
Arriving early helped the crowds in both Chichen Itsa and the Cenote so worth the early morning 7am pick up.
Overall really well organised trip and Tino with his knowledge and humour really made it.

This trip is not at all as advertised. We spent a total of 3.5 hours out of the 10-12 hours advertised. We spent the first two hours picking up other guests from their hotels, then we got taken to a “center of operations” where they divided us into other different buses and the entire process was extremely unorganized. Nobody knows which bus to send us to and it was confusion all around. We got picked up at 7:00am and didn’t actually head to Chichen Itza until way after 9:00am. After we drove another 2.5-3 hours, we stopped at a spot to “eat”. The spot is a giant store where they try to sell you “hand made artifacts” which are terribly overpriced. There were local artisans selling much better quality pieces at a fraction of a price. The buffet itself at the spot was pretty decent, but please beware. They try to sell you EVERYTHING in this tour, to the point it gets pretty frustrating. They tried to sell us, bug spray, “mayan birthday calendars”, bottles of tequila, drinks if you didn’t pay all inclusive, and this was just in the bus. I feel we went out of our way to go to this “local” spot to eat but it was pretty much a tourist trap to sell us overpriced items. We finally got to Chichen Itza at 2:00pm!! That is 7 hours after we got picked up from the hotel!! Chichen Itzá itself was beautiful, the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. We only had 1.5 hours to explore around Chichen Itza then we got bearded like cattle and left to the Cenote. Again the cenote was beautiful but we only got 50 minutes from arrival to departure. That was barely enough time to change, get a locker and go for a short swim. After that, we headed to Valladolid where we only got 20 minutes to explore! This was due to “local authorities not allowing buses to stay longer” then we headed home and got to the hotel back after 8:00 pm. I suggest you rent a car if possible, or get a Uber or taxi and have them take you to Chichen Itza and you explore the local towns not the tourist traps tours like this are. In all fairness, Chichen Itza, the Cenote and Valladolid were beautiful, but 10/13 hours were wasted doing nothing of value. Please Beware and don’t complain if you buy this and are disappointed like we were. I tried to warn you!

Our pickup was scheduled at 7am and we got picked up on time. Our guide was Tino. He is very informative, funny and has lots of cultural experience of Mayan first hand. He shared his amazing story of how he became familiarized too Mayan culture and became the one who shares knowledge of Mayan culture. I loved his anecdotes and could feel the pride as part of the mayan culture. On our way to Chichen itza, Tino explained multiple historical facts about Chichen itza, which was very helpful to understand the rituals performed in Chichen itza. Inside Chichen itza, you will see many vendors selling souvenirs. The vendors near the main Chichen itza building is way more expensive than the ones located in area not so busy. So make sure to check out those vendors in non-busy areas as well. After Chichen itza, we headed to Cenote Saamal, where the buffet restaurant is also located. The food in the buffet was great and had good options for vegetarians as well. You can either swim in the cenote first or eat first depending on your choice. Thankfully, the Cenote was not super crowded, so we could enjoy without needing to hurry. Changing rooms and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Finally, in Valladolid, there are small local shops that you can buy souvenirs, and the assigned time 30 mins is good enough to look around.

I have to say that this was one of the best parts of my trip to Cancun. For one, the bus that takes you to Chichen Itza is very comfortable with good A/C and they were very punctual! Roughly one hour before getting to Chicen Itza the travel guide will explain a few things about the trip and also the cultural aspects behind certain things in regards to the region and Mayan culture. Here he will ask if you want to purchase an optional handmade Mayan-style painting that tells you certain things about your Mayan horoscope. In my trip I had the pleasure of enjoying the professionalism from the bus driver Miguel, and the two travel guides Allan and Mr. Rabies (really awesome people!). Before hoping off the bus the travel guide will collect the mandatory payment to enter Chichen Itza for $30 (think of it as a museum payment). Then, the travel guide will show you around for one hour and give you another hour of leisure time. Once that's done you meet at a specific point and then head in the same bus to the Cenote were you will also enjoy the buffet; I must say the Cenote is an experience that one must live. Yes, its deep; in fact, 130ft deep but you get to purchase a mandatory life vest for $5 and a locker if you need to for another $5. After you're done swimming you move onto the buffet. Then you head to Valladolid for 30 minutes. Finally, some tips for this trip are: 1) check the weather 2) Don't bring unnecessary stuff 3) Bring a charging pod for your phone.
