          Beware very long travel time
Isabelle (guide) and Alex (driver) were great! However, we did not expect to spend 6 hours traveling in a van. We left our resort at 7:00 am and did not return until 7:30 pm. Also, the atv insurance was not explained prior to booking. We were informed at the venue that if we did not purchase atv insurance and were hit by someone else, we would be responsible for damages. We opted not to ride the atvs, due to this statement.

It was a fantastic day with a private tour visiting Chichén Itzá, Valladolid and a Cenote where we could swim and have lunch all in one day. Tonantzin has been and excellent guide, with Martin as a great driver! Thank you.

Awesome tour with Isabel and Fernando! We learned so much about Mayan culture and enjoyed the ceynote and snorkeling! Highly recommend! Our family of 6 had a blast. The food was mediocre but we didn’t have high expectations!

fun for a family with teens
we had a blast - the ATV ride was a hoot, the ziplines had us whooshing above the treeline, and the underground cenote was eerie. The snorkeling was among the best we did during the trip - the creek was almost pristine and teeming with fish. Hats off to (Luis) Morgado who kept our group going and made sure all were enjoying themselves.

Impressive tour with an eco friendly company.
After meeting up with our group, we toured the ruins at Tulum with our guide Luis. He did a good job of explaining the ruins without making it overwhelming. After the ruins we went to our first snorkling stop and lunch. This was what impressed me the most the cave was on Aventures Mayas property. Driving in we saw ATVs, zip line courses and of course the underwater cave we toured. Lunch was served there as well. Louis said the company had around 200 employees and was very mindful of the importance of the Mexican ecology. Other companies just bulldoze. The final stop was a lagoon with lots of fish. Great trip and great guide.

Great day just keep a close eye on your belongings
It was a great experience for the whole family other than my husband’s flippers and water shoes that went “missing” at the cenote. Very disappointed with the person that decided they needed it more than he did as they provided snorkelling gear for those without their own. Keep a close eye on your belongings and enjoy the day. Highlight was seeing a Spotted Eagle Ray!!

          Fun tour
Fun experience overall. Our tour guide Isabelle and driver Victor were amazing. They explained things thoroughly and made for a smooth experience. We were very happy with them. The mayan ruins tour was a bit underwhelming. The food was okay. The transportation was tiring since we were picked up at 7:15 am and didn’t get to the first experience until 10:30

This trip package was everything we needed and more! Instead of a cramped bus picking us up and 100s of others and spending hours on a bus, a small van picked up us and one other family. We were then brought to a "meeting point" where our guide Luis drove us and one other family to our first stop in Tulum in a comfortable and air conditioned van. Luis was very knowledgable and on the short drive to Tulum gave us a history of Tulum and the Yucatan Peninsula. Tulum was incredible and again Luis gave us a brief history tour and then we were able to explore the ruins on our own for about 45 minutes. It is HOT and there is minimal shade so I recommend sunglasses, hats, and water bottles. Once back on the van (where water bottles were provided) we arrived at the Adventuras Maya base camp which is in the heart of the jungle. The zip lining experience was also incredible, getting to zip high above the trees for about an hour going to different platforms. There are lots of stairs involved so bring good shoes and a good attitude. We then rappelled down to the forest floor from one of the platforms, which was fun, but definitely more of an opportunity to get pictures (which you can pay for at the end.) We had lunch and went to our final activity which was the best of all. In a cave cenote, Luis took us back in time in history and explained their initial purposes and how they helped ancient peoples settle in the area and the Yucatan Peninsula in general. The water was cold, so again, bring a good attitude and appreciate the absolute wonder that are the stalagmite and stalactites that line the cave. Overall, this was such an enjoyable trip and I would recommend this to anyone with a full day to spend doing back to back activities. Thank you Luis and the Adventuras Mayas staff!

The day was fantastic The Tulum ruins , the lunch in the jungle, the underground river , snorkeling in the Akumal bay and most of all our guide Jamie Soberanis a very knowledgeable patient man.
Jamie taught our group so much about the ruins and the Mayan history. The plants in the jungle, the underground river and fish in the ocean. Jamie was so kind with our grandchildren Liam and Ellie. He answered all their questions and they felt comfortable and safe with him especially when snorkeling.
He kept a close eye on us all and gave me extra help and encouragement during the water activities. The day was truly amazing and non of us will ever forget it. Thank you Jamie you are very good at your profession. We hope to return to the Mayan Riviera in 2026 and we will definitely book with Aventuras Mayas again.. the Uhls and the Lindal’s

This was a fantastic tour. We took our 4 kids who range in age from 15 to 21. (I would not recommend this for kids under 10.) Orlando was our tour guide and he made the whole experience super fun. We met at a central location that offered some pastries and coffee. We traveled to Tulum and toured the ruins, which were stunning. We headed back for an amazing lunch and an afternoon of ziplining, repelling and swimming in an underground cenote. The cenote was amazing, but cold! It was about 65 degrees; but you will get used to it and it feels amazing. A perfect end to a long day. There is a photographer on hand to take pictures, but those are a little pricey. They took about 90 shots of our family but wanted almost $85 for a digital link to the prints. I honestly think $50 would have been more than fair.
The only reason I gave this place 4 stars is because back in August we had to cancel this tour due to a Hurricane. The company was really difficult to work with to get our money refunded. They claimed they would be operating during the hurricane and their lifeguards(?) said it would be safe!!
Other than that, we had a great time!

We booked this tour about a month in advance; at the time of booking they clearly noted in writing that if we want to cancel for a full refund, no fees or penalties, we must do so at least 24hrs in advance. Three days prior to the tour we decided we wanted to cancel, so we got in contact with the company via email where they said we would not get a full refund. They normally reply almost immediately, but as soon as I replied with a screenshot of their cancellation policy (showing we were in fact due a full refund) they stopped responding to all emails and outreach. Truly a scam - reporting to BBB as well.

This was an absolute highlight of our vacation! We were picked up on time by Luis F. (best tour guide ever!), we made a couple of stops for more people and headed out into the trees! I loved how the adventure location was not overly "touristy" looking and was really deep in the trees. (That said, the facilities were well maintained.) The ziplines were a blast, and the staff all the way through were helpful and friendly and safety oriented. I never felt unsafe. The cenote was beautiful, and I appreciated how Luis stressed not wearing sunscreen, bug spray, etc. in the water and really explained the history and ecology of the space. (He also helped get this claustrophobe through the smaller cave portion.) Lunch was delicious. And while we were asked if we wanted to buy our photos, there was no hard pressure sell. After changing into dry clothes, we were then taken down to Tulum for some great information on the history of the area, and then some time to walk around. I would recommend this adventure to anyone!

We loved this excursion. Our guides (Jimmy and Alfredo) picked us up on time. We only had to pick up others from one nearby resort. The van was comfortable and had enough seats for all. The zipline location had clean restrooms, changing rooms, lockers, and souvenirs.

The order of the day is different for each group. We did the zipline first, then repelled, then the cenote, lunch, and Tulum last.

The staff on the zipline were all about safety and very friendly. Between them and our guides, those who were nervous completed all 7 lines and had fun.

The cenote is incredible! You will be outfitted with floatation vests and snorkels. Everything was sanitized and clean.

Lunch was delicious and authentic. The guides eat lunch there, too.

Tulum was also amazing. The history of the place is amazing. There is a marketplace (ice cream, cerveza, t-shirts, vanilla, souvenirs) at the entrance of the ruins but there wasn't much time to shop, unless you zip in and out of the ruins.

The weather for us was cloudy, rainy, and breezy; pretty enjoyable really.

Our guides were very knowledgeable about each activity, from technical expertise with ziplines to history of the cenotes and Mayan culture. They had a great sense of humor and were fun to hang out with.

We thought the price was very fair for all the activities, lunch, and transportation.

Our kids are 15 and 18 and enjoyed the day.
        We highly recommend.

My family and I had a wonderful day! We were picked up at our hotel and brought to base to meet our guide- David Pasos. We had a nice small group and David got started right away providing the group with needed information and got us on our way to our first destination quickly, relaying historic facts along the way. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, full of energy and fun! David was also very safety conscious and the group felt we were in good hands. My younger son is 10 and this was his first snorkeling experience and David took him with a float and made sure he was getting the most he could out of the experience. It was much appreciated by me and my family. We had a delicious lunch at the second site where there are bathrooms, showers, lockers, hammocks and a convenience store. There are several options for atv, rappel, zip lines and we had an excellent day!

Our tour guide was Ricardo "Ricky Martin" Olivares. He picked us up on time, 7:45 am and we departed shortly after. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Our day started at Chemuyil (ATV, zip-lines and a cenote, with a lunch provided) Everything was awesome. I loved the ATV's (it is recommended to buy additional insurance protection, $15 for one driver, if you switch driver's about 1/2 way, then it costs $25. This was my first time, and I only drove, so I payed $15, no regrets as we did go pretty fast) and my wife loved the 8 zip-lines. Cenotes were just ok. The food was great! Afterwards we went to see the ruins at Tulum. Our tour guide, Richardo provided a very good lecture regarding the history of the Mayans and the Tulum ruins. Afterwards we had 1 hour to explore the ruins on our own before we met back at the shuttle. Our return trip to our resort took 45 minutes. Thanks for an awesome experience Richardo!

What was good about this excursion? Our guide in Tulum, Raul, was knowledgeable (spoiler alert: I'm a history teacher, so I am not easily impressed!) and personable. Booking this tour lets you take the bus to the ruins and avoid a lot of the lines, so that was a plus. Sergio at the facility was great in helping us zipline and swim in the cenote. I think the cenote was everyone's favorite. All in all it was a good day and my family of 4 had fun.

What was not good about this excursion? It is much further from Cancun than I expected. It was a loooonnnng day with a lot of driving. We were picked up at 7:40am and dropped back at our hotel 11 hours later with over 4 hours on the road. Our driver was nice but didn't speak English and so no one in the van had any idea what was going on. We stopped halfway to Tulum and no one knew why. Our group didn't know where to go after the ruins. And we were totally confused on the ride home. A little communication before the trip would have helped. Some of the folks in our van didn't even know lunch was included. And no one brought a towel which the facility does not provide even after swimming in the cenote.
