        Amazing Rainbow Ride
We had an amazing rainbow ride! Tevo and Pablo were fantastic guides. They helped us all figure out how to use the bikes and took us on a wonderful ride around where we saw spectacular sights of the river and surrounding forest. They made the whole group for like a family. We had a great time together and saw a coyote, ducks, and lots of elk!

Great way to see Johnston Canyon and the scenic parkway in Banff NP.
Fantastic hike to Johnston Canyon with Megan. She was very knowledgeable and took her time with our group of 8 as we were all at different levels of fitness. She even took the time to take one of our group back to our cabins as they didn't want to do the e-bike portion of the tour. Our e-bike tour with Kristi was perfect. The e-bikes are some of the best we have ridden. She took the time to take group photos and point out some specific viewpoints. Biking along Bow Valley Parkway without vehicles was fantastic!

Jerzy Maslanka fantastic tour guide for Banff, Yoho and Jasper National Parks
For one week with my wife we had Jerzy Maslanka as our private tour guide in his car. He is an unique, wonderful person. He picked us up in Calgary airport took us to our hotel. The next day we went to the amazing dinosaur museum in Drumheller, the badlands, reservations, etc. all done at our pace, we are 73 and 83, full with descriptions and histories of each place. Each morning he would pick us up at the time we felt comfortable, Jerzy is very punctual. From Calgary he brought us to Banff using the scenic route and spent and a few hours there, plenty for us. He recommended us to stay at The Lodge in Bow lake, for the 3 nights given the fact that Jasper was close due to the fire, fantastic idea, he got us the third night free. The Lodge is at about 45' from Banff and 30 from Louise Lake. It provides an excellent dinner, breakfast and packed lunches all included in the price. We visited Louise Lake village, walk around the lake, in every place during the whole tour Jerzy took us and told the history of the places. We went to multiple sites in Banff, Yoho and Jasper National parks, spent time at lakes as Emerald, Peyto and several more, walked to spectacular waterfalls. Walked to the Columbia glaze, Tango falls between others, Kootenay Plains and Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site, and many more. Finally he drove us to Edmonton to visit our friends. In the words of people who stayed with us at the Lodge, and locals, it would take us no less than 3 weeks to see all those places, without the comfort of being driven and given a great picture of each place. Jerzy is a very knowledgeable, passionate and generous person. We strongly recommend him,. Besides his price its more than reasonable. Make sure to consider him before you decide to take a tour by yourself or with someone else.

        Great guides, great landscape
The country we traveled through was amazing, views of larches, glaciers, lakes and mountains. Our guides were remarkable, very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs and exceeded our expectations with what we were able to experience. It was a great way to get away from the crowds.

        E-bikes with great views
The e-bikes were so fun and a great way to see the scenic Bow Valley Parkway! Emilio was a great guide. The hike was short and fine, but the highlight of the trip is definitely the bike ride.

        It's worth every minute
What a great day it was. Our hike was great. It's a combination of things that made it so. Aiden, our guide, was very knowledgeable and informative. The hike was beautiful. I would consider it pretty much manageable for most if the distance is not a factor (we hiked 8 & 1/2 miles). We took a nice break for lunch overlooking a beautiful lake. We took several smaller breaks along the way. They offer several types of sandwiches, and everyone seemed to enjoy their choice. I had a veggie sandwich, and it was delicious. Apples, granola bars, bananas, fruit box drinks, and water were also offered. We were picked up at 9:00 in Lake Louise. The rest of the group was picked up earlier in Banff. We finished the hike at about 3:30. I would highly recommend White Mountain Adventures to hike with.

        Best Experience Ever
I cannot say enough about our experience with this company. Our travel agent is the one that booked us with them, and they customized it to our needs and abilities. We were more interested in seeing a lot, and do less hiking. We used them for three days. We had Pablo as out tour guide for two full days, and he is a walking book of knowledge about this area! Super friendly and funny too! Ever spot we went, did not disappoint. He took us to lunch on both days, and his recommendations were spot on! We ate at the Truffle Pig in Field where I had the Purple Burger which was delicious as was the rest of our groups food. Scott was our other guide, also super friendly and knew the area well. What we liked best is that they handle everything, and we are just along for the ride. It made our trip stress free!!!!!!

        Banff Evening Wildlife Safari
Banff evening wildlife safari was a small group tour. Buck took us to spots where wildlife has been recently seen. We saw mostly elk (some were “up close and personal “. Along which Buck furnished all kinds of valuable information about the wildlife in Banff park.

Ride was great - guide not so much.
Overall the ride was amazing and we stopped a couple of times for photo ops however the guide didn’t check on the riders in the back to make sure they were ok.

        A fantastic 1/2 day tour
We just returned from our 26 km ride from Banff to Johnson’s Canyon , what a fantastic experience it was. Chris our guide was wonderful with his knowledge of nature and the area. Chris spotted a coyote and we were able to observe from a safe distance. Chris took the time to make sure we were comfortable on the e-bikes before we took off. I would highly recommend this tour!

        Great experience
I had not been on a bike in quite some time, and never on an e-bike. Our guides, Jake and Brian, gave excellent instruction and gave us a few minutes to get used to the bikes before we set off. I was grinning the whole ride. The hike in the canyon was excellent. The guides were knowledgeable about the plant life we saw. Only trouble is now I want an e-bike!

        Incredible views, with exceptional guide
This tour had magnificent views. Moraine Lake was my favorite. Great hike from Moraine to Consellation Lake. Our guide, Christy was amazing. She shared so much information, so passionate about the Park and preserving its natural beauty. The stop at Lake Louise was also nice, but I believe Moraine had much more charm. I wouldn't label this hike as "easy". It was not difficult for my husband and I, but "easy" may mislead some potential customers. the Tour and experience was priceless.

Hi 111robs, Thank you for your review, and yes some days we trade the blue skies and limitless views for a more up close and personal winter experience. I find snowshoeing can make you feel like a kid again, where you can relax and laugh and roll in the snow to really earn those cookies and hot chocolate :) Jess has a wonderful spirit and sense of play, and we are really lucky to have her guiding with us again this winter. I had the most fantastic experience yesterday snowshoeing at Banff with guide Jennifer . Our small group were taken to up to a high ridge passing the ski mountain and led to super unspoilt area near the frozen Rock Isle Lake. Beautiful mountain scenery and totally peaceful . A wonderful day out . Would highly recommend this guiding for a personal experience, Thank you White Mountain Adventure . We will be back for sure.

Had a great time on the Snowshoeing at Sunshine Meadows tour with Kristi. The weather was absolutely gorgeous with sunny, clear skies (hello Mt Assiniboine!) and no wind, and the conditions were perfect with lots of fluffy powder. The trip has you go up the gondola (15 minute ride) and then the Standish chairlift (about 5 minutes) so if you're really afraid of heights this may not be the tour for you. The chairlift especially can be very cold, and while we were lucky with the weather the conditions at the top of the hill can be much colder than you expect, so make sure to wear multiple layers and bring more than you think you'll need.

The trip itself is lovely, with some steeper downhill sections that were especially fun due to the powder and some flatter and groomed sections if your legs are getting tired. Towards the end there's an optional fun section through the trees that I highly recommend, as you'll probably be much more comfortable on the snowshoes at this point. You'll have the most fun if you have good balance and are moderately fit, expect to get your heartrate up at least a few times, and you'll definitely fall at least once!

Thank you for your review! We are glad you highlighted the points about minimum fitness and clothing requirements. It will really add to your enjoyment if you are warm and dry on the program, moreover the safety issues of inadequate dress or fitness are of greater concern. We do refuse participation if our guides feel clients aren't up for the day, so thank you for sharing your perspective of the day. It's the best way to spend a day in Banff, especially when you catch a bluebird day.

This tour experience definitely exceeded my expectations which were already high to begin with. Our guide was Alex and he was great from beginning to end. The snow conditions were amazing and if we forgot a detail Alex had us covered. You would never be able to do this without a guide as we went through restricted areas. The fresh powder was amazing and we played, raced, and rolled around trekking up and down the mountain. This company is super organized and professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour, Alex as a guide and this company to anyone. Thank you!

Went on the Snowshoeing on Top of the World with May and it was spectacular! May was an amazing guide and had lots of great insight into the local cultures and ecosystem. There was extra gear in case anyone needed anything, and the whole expedition was well organized. Snowshoeing through the backcountry was great, and May even brought tea, hot chocolate, and cookies! The whole trek was fun and a good workout

Unique and truly amazing backcountry experience.

We highly recommend this adventure to anyone who is looking for something a little different, a little off the beaten path, and more than a little memorable!

Jack was an extremely personable tour guide who was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond customizing the adventure to fit our skill level and interests. This exceeded our expectations ;) Thanks! 🥑

Stunning views. Fantastic time. Perfect snow conditions and sunny day. Excellent tour guide. Sparkling clean and great covid-protocols. What more can you ask for!?

To be honest, my expectations for snowshoeing were low. My thoughts: "Ok. walking in deep snow with heavy shoes at a ski hill. How exciting could this possibly be". Was I ever wrong! This EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS beyond what I thought. We were the only ones out where our tour guide Sam took us. Not another person in sight. The views were breathtaking and we had perfect weather - the sun was shining the entire tour. I must say, the COVID protocols is fantastic with your company (even the business card was sealed in a bag!). We never felt uncomfortable in the tour because literally no one was around us except our guide, we were able to social distance, and masks were worn in the van for transportation (we were even picked up at our hotel). Thank you for keeping us all safe.

Sam taught us a lot on this trip about Alberta, snowshoeing, food recommendations etc. but the best part about it all was his friendliness and his passion for the outdoors. It was amazing to hear him talk about the outdoors and his love for it. I’ve been recommending this specific tour to everyone. I would definitely come back again!!

You have made our day! Thank you for sharing the story of your adventure with Sam and White Mountain Adventures. Snowshoeing is not typically known as an adrenaline sport to be fair. But for fun, laughs and good vibes, nothing beats a day of snowshoeing with your houshold up in the wide open spaces of Sunshine Meadows. We hope you can join us for a future adventure.

The snowshoe at the top of the Earth was an incredible experience! We had mountain peaks around us in all directions, sunshine, and blue sky. six of us were on the tour with our guide Josh. It was a perfect bluebird day! The snowshoe started with Standish viewpoint. We then headed through some pristine spring snow toward Rock Isle Lake where the views were incredible. After a stop for hot chocolate and cookies, we headed back adjacent to the ski terrain. We were glad we had water and sunglasses for our beautiful day. It was definitely a spring day to dress in layers. Josh was very pleasant and engaging as a guide. He made a point to chat with each of us on the tour with restaurant recommendations.

I had such a great experience snowshoeing at Sunshine for the first time on Monday that I went again on Friday!
I can’t ski or snowboard anymore but didn’t want to miss out on the fun while my family were out on the mountain. I decided to try snowshoeing and doing the On Top of the World tour. I don’t know how many time I said “wow” on the first day — getting to experience so many incredible views of BC and Alberta was amazing. It was quite a work out too! And would rate it as moderate to strenuous. My tour guide Megan was informative, funny, and kind.
Since my family decided they wanted to spend their last day at Sunshine, I figured - why not! I’ll go on the tour again!! This time Jack was our guide and it was a bit warmer out and the snow was softer making it so much fun to walk through! I had such a great time — Jack was very accommodating and full of information as well.

Thank you, White Mountain Adventures!!! Your team were so helpful and kind (from switching my pickup on Monday to booking me onto the tour the morning-of on Friday). I can’t thank you enough for making my visit to Banff a very memorable one.

Our guide Jeff (JF) was great ! Passionate and knowledgeable. It was only myself , 57 yrs old and my daughter 26 yrs old on the tour. This was
my first time snow shoeing . Jeff paused enough times for me to catch my breath . He is very knowledgeable about the surrounding environment , explained the various animal tracks we saw, trees, snow formations etc etc . In addition to the physical workout. I received , I learned new things about nature thanks to Jeff
